View Full Version : FPR or fuel pump?

Well as of yesterday my car won't start. I replaced the fuel pump relay and it fired up with no problem. This would be the second relay I have put in it in about a month. I checked the fuel rail for pressure and fuel comes out everytime so I know I am getting some fuel to the rail. So to be able to start the car I have to take the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and then it starts right up. So I put the hose back on and go about my day. Any ideas guys?

what fpr do you have ? stock? and you really need a fuel pressure gauge to judge if you are seeing enough fuel pressure at the rail. harbor frieght has them for like 10-15 bucks if you want to get one to test it.

It's the original stock FPR with 75,000 miles on it. I do have a adjustable one but I have to buy a new FPR and then modify it to make it work again.
