What do you expect lol.

You'd be lucky to get 5.5-6k private party, how much do you expect at a dealer.

5500,6000 maybe? looking on autotrader and craigslist, most of the cars with the same options on mine theyre still asking 8k and over for.

trade in value on ANYTHING GM is poor, a grand am is no different. its still a 7 year old car with 70,000 miles. and with pontiac being gone, that doesn't help one bit.

Fix any small defects, clean the hell out of it, and wax it. Then put it on autotrader or craigslist and you might get $6,000. I sold mine for $6500 (03 w/ 62000, 4dr w/ a few mods). I might have gotten lucky with a dumb chick who bought it on the spot. But the point is your presentation helps. Dealer does the same thing but wants a larger profit so you'll maybe get $4000.

I owe 6000 on it still,I was just hoping to get pay off for it. I'll clean it up and put it on Craigslist

why exactly do you think you need a truck any way?

might be better off keeping it untill it's paid off

Smart financial decisions are not exactly par for the course around here, FYI.

I have plenty, but I won't bother. I'm guessing you wouldn't heed my advice.

In that case why don't you see if the selling dealership will roll your negative equity into the loan for your new/used truck. I'm sure they'd be happy to. =)

Ooohh, wait.. this isn't a GTLUVA thread...

Boom goes the dynamite.

Seriously though, why do you NEED a truck? Are you sure you're not replacing NEED with the word WANT?

On course with the "trade in value", you should hear what my insurance is offering me for my car.... its not terrible, but it sucks.

I just sold a super clean 2000 GT Coupe with 117K for $3,200.00, started at 3,700.00 ad ran for a few months, dropped it 200.00 then had to drop another 300.00 for first interested buyer.
