so long story, but basically my 2000 GA GT needs new tire and rim, but to make things worse ive got one stripped lugnut that i cannot even get the wrench over, and when i discovered i couldnt i decided to try and drive it to the nearest station (this was the middle of the night last night on my way home from work) just to refill air enough to get me home. well during that drive i mistakenly left the key on the locking lug and drove off so it's now gone too. so now ive got 2 lugnuts i cant get off. all i know is that the key/lugs have a series of uneven lines running down the side of the lug, ive tried looking at pictures on parts sites but cant seem to find good ones to tell for sure, the closest i can find are the Spline-Drive ones on Rock Auto ( pretty sure theyre the stock ones, as i havent changed them.

Also in need of a new rim now due to this, anyone have any ideas where the cheapest stock rims are? Theyre the chrome 5-spoke with the Pontiac emblem in the center...

Thank you in advance, this forum has been a lifesaver with this car, but hopefully my days are numbered as i hope to be getting rid of this car ASAP.

The bad news is that the stock lug nuts weren't locking ones.

Sounds like you need to take it into a tire shop to get them off.

The cheapest rim replacement would be a 16" steelie.

That spline drive looks eerily familiar to the one that my ex's Satty uses, but the lug nug is a combination nut and stud.

Have you had this car long?

ive had the car almost 6 years now and i havent replaced the locks, now it appears that i either have to find a key for these, or have the other 3 taken off eventually and replaced as well....

If you've had it that long then you were bound to have changed/rotated the tires before.

You may be able to check AutoZone or Wal-Mart to see if they have the same kind of locking lug set that you need

since i had to leave the car 30 miles away im not able to measure the lugnut size, does anyone know off hand...also this is the 6 "uneven lines" wheel lock i was referring to... (
my lugnut has no indentation on the end either, its just a rounded "dome" shape

any one have any idea what its called so that when i call for a replacement i know what to get?

thats the one, now all i need is the size and type to call it, i found a place that sells the keys, but have no idea what to tell them as far as size or anything
