Some **** hit my car as it was parked and took off. I'd like to know in your opinion if this can be repaired or if I should just replace the fender with a scrap yard one in good shape. The cell pics dont show it... but It will need a repaint regardless but i wouldnt do that till spring. The fender liner is pretty messed up but I think I can fix that myself.. I had to bend the fender and liner up so that I was able to drive the car and park it elsewhere. Opinions? Estimated price on new fender and paint if anyone has gone through similar? I am expecting under $1000 total for repairs so not going through insurance due to deductable, all though I will call this morning and inquire about the no-fault option I have.

Looks like just paint a new fender and install. Blending/matching may not even be an issue. Aftermarket new fenders are only about $90 around here....

I've repaired multiple fenders/quarters with my dad that you wouldn't believe, that is really not that bad.

that is pretty close to being creased in two places, i vote replace, it's more hours of work than it's worth considering replacement price of the piece.

faster+cheaper= way more gooder!

Note sure as of yet. I will have to check around a few places and see what the avg. going rate is for a new/used fender in good shape.

Edit: Avg local price for a new primed fender is $80

Question: The fender still rubs against the wheel. I am thinking of ordering a fender and replacing it myself... But will choose not to paint it until spring time. If i were to bring it to a body shop, would it make a diff if the fender is installed or would they prefer to paint it prior to installing?

You could always take a new fender to a body shop and have them paint match it off the car. Then when its ready you go and pick it up and install it yourself. Save on the labor thats what I've done before on my older cars.
