Anyone know for sure which is the Sport Suspension RPO Code for a 2004 GA-GT, the FE2 or FE4? What is FE3 ?

Called the Dealer to run my Serial# = they told me I have the Sport Package Suspension.

All the Parts Stores list Lower Control Arms as
a. Except Sport Suspension (95%)
b. FE2
c. FE3
d. FE4

What's the differences? anyone have the list of GM Codes ?

FE3 was the RPO code for Sport Suspension.
FE2 is the standard "Ride and Handling" Suspension.

Yep, FE3 is sport. The RPO code book I have only goes up to 2002, but it lists FE2 as "suspension, ride and handling", FE3 "suspension, sport", and FE4 "suspension, special ride and handling". FE4 was never offered on the grand am.

Bear in mind that the following is sourced from AllData...
Veh entered as 04 GA 3.4

FE2: suspension system, ride and handling

FE3: suspension, level 3 (IRS)

FE4: suspension system, special ride and handling

This would suggest '2 corresponds to std suspension and '4 to sport suspension. The '3 code, however - WTF is level 3? Surely FE3 wasn't simply an 'only option available' code for the N-body rear suspension?

That's from Alldata. Which has been known to be wrong... alot.

FE2 and FE3 are the only N-body suspensions that I know of. FE4 is usually found on Corvettes, SS Cobalts, Trailblazer SS, Camaros, or anything with active shocks.
