Next month the RSM supercharger kits are going up 500 bucks. They are wacked. Like they are not expensive enough. I am seriously considering finding out what model of SC they use and get the rest custom made. It would be cheaper

I'm considering a ATI procharger with intercooler for the 3400 I'm building up. bottom end is being completely redesigned as well as lots of valve train work, and manual tranny.
I'm not rich so this is a few year long project, that is unless some of you want to donate to the alero project? :p

I have heard that the ATI is supposed to be the best supercharger out there. Good luck with the project
It's a V9 G-trim vortech similiar to the V5 vortech that's been in prod for awhile.

Yea thats what I've herd too. but mounting and possible drive shaft might be problems. The motor will be built to take lots of boost and I'll be running a stand alone liek the electromotive tec 3. goal is to have enough power to break somthing. hopfully just alero speed records and my neck. :p
If this project comes about and is pretty easy to set up, APOC might have a procharger kit available. with the intercooler it will produce more power than any other kit out. dunno about tranny life though. Since mine is going up to a manual it's not an issue i'll address with my kit.

The one thing that sucks is that the RSM kit is a V( super quiet. Idon't want it to be quiet. I want that bitch to scream when I get on the gas

I reccommend getting the vortech charger installed by RSM. They have a really good tuner.

Ah HA, precisely my question... the one thing I'll miss about my kit is that it won't be as loud as the E/M one... I'll have to talk to them about it

I don't think the whine comes from the actual compressor. It comes from straight cut gears inside the blower instead of helical cut. Powerdyne blowers use belts instead of gears for rpm step-up and they are absolutely silent when idling.

But helical cut is more efficient I thought because it cause less resistance and requires les power to drive the gears

I dunno. Most hihger performance blowers use regular cut gears and are loud as hell, like Prochargers. Vortech uses the SQ technology in their base kits for Mustangs and F-bodies. Many guys step up to a T-trim which is very loud, but way way more efficient and powerful.
