Hi guys im trying to put an LED strand in my trunk to light up my trunk for my sub but theres one problem i cant find any positive and negative wires to hook up to my LED strand to get them to light up. Can anyone help me find a good place to connect my wires? They dont need to be close to the trunk i just need a good +,- Wire to connect to. Thanks!

use the light socket thats already in there, that way the light turns on/off when you open/close the trunk
I did this already and posted a thread on it
or if you looking for a constant "on" type of light, just run the LED strip wires to your amp and hook to your +/- there, and add a inline switch

it should be snapped into the metal. on either side of the plastic ( the shorter side) try getting your finger up through a hole or just use a flat head screw driver and pry it down. Mine broke but didnt matter as I cut the whole thing off an just connected the wires together

ya I think you pulled a little too hard....
in a sense the wires made a direct short so blew the fuse. should be in one of the 3 fuse boxes. tape off the wires that are exposed replace the fuse an all should work again.
also that LED I've used before an it won't light up you trunk, its a dim indicator light.
