Help. I have a 97 Grand Am GT with a 2.4L engine throwing P0300 (random multiple misfire detected), P0335 (Crankshaft position sensor A circuit) and P0420 (Catalyst system efficiency below threshold Bank 1) Codes. I replaced the crank sensor, and the ignition coil adapter. The car still runs rough, smells like unburned gas, and has no power. Anyone have any similar experience and solutions to recommend?

After you replaced the CS and ICA did any codes go away?
Have you done the basic, check spark, compression, air filter is clean.
Also a little info on the car.
Was the car running before, or has it sat?
Was it acting strange before the code was tossed?

the car was run daily, then cablam, the engine started acting up and the check engine light started flashing. After replacing the CS and ICS no codes went away. I did not check spark. How would you do that with a ICS? Thanks for any ideas.

A clogged cat would cause power failure. Or a faulty O2 sensor.

Lean more towards a blocked cat - If it built up to having no power. Put your hand behind the car when it is on see if your getting pressure out the back.
Faulty o2 should just toss an error then run in default mode.
I would think it is a bad ground, or a short, everything is electrical - and it just happened- and have replaced the pieces that could be causing the problem.
