K&N drop in VS K&N cone

whats up everyone? i had a question about my intake, now i got the 2.4 liter engine, so i was wondering what i should do for my intake? put in a K&N drop in or should i scrap the box and just hook a cone to the end of the tubing. Can i get some thoughts on this which is better, advantages, disadvantages? thanks bros!

Hey what's up. In answer to your question....it is better to put a drop in filter then a cone. I put a cone into mine and the problem I got is that the hot air from the engine was going into in intake which made the car run not that great. You need the cold air to get the horses up as well as detonation. So if you don't want to put a CAI kit in...i'd go with the drop in filter. Hope that helps
