View Full Version : HIDs for fogs?

I'm sorry I have never dealt with HIDs at all so sorry if these questions are retarded . I know I need a 880 type bulb, I'm about to purchase some 35w 3k HIDs for my fogs from DDM Tuning.
Getting recommendations on the other forum that I shouldn't since it'll produce some glare and I asked if there are any good 3k yellow "imitations" halogen bulbs? Like Nokya Hyper yellow or something?

HIDs in the plastic fogs will melt them. most of use have had that problem. get some aftermarket projector foglights and then install hids.

I'd rather just get yellow halogen bulbs or get some yellow stained glass spray on the fog lense, I think projector fogs don't look right with GAs

If you are using HIDs, you need a projector housing.

They look great given you use the right materials. I retro'd these last winter for less than $75 in materials. Start with a good projector and go from there. Light output/visibility is fantastic.

They don't look too bad, but only if you have projector headlights, but I still like the stock fogs since it "fills" the fog light area in the bumper more.
