Ok so I had a cv axle boot blow out on me so I went to replace the axle. It was pretty much "welded" on so after getting a slide hammer and attachment we were able to pull it out, but the intermediate shaft came out as well. The problem is that the lock clip was not attached to the grove on the inner part of the intermediate shaft that locks back into the transmission. I was told that the clip was held into the spider gear inside the transmission and to push the axle back in and it would lock back. Well this wasnt true and now the intermediate shaft is walking out a good 3-4 inches. My question is, where did the clip go, and also can I get another clip to put back in?
