winters on its way folks! what are you gonna do to get your ride (GA or not) ready for it?

im gonna do some undercoating, check and top off any and all fluids, clean and wax it to help prevent further rusting. then pray it makes it till the break of spring LOL

Well all you have to do there is go to the coin wash and wash the under side of your car.

Well I would think for you its inevitable unless you don't daily drive your car lol.

Unless you all get guaranteed snow in the winter. We don't know if we'll get some.

I usually take the grand am to my grandpa's and park her on cardboard and remove the wheels and put her on jack stands while running a de-humidifier. I then make the trip once a week or so to start it up, and then let it idle... while doing some detailing working on certain areas at a time.

in the winter its the only car i drive lol and i go everywhere in it

and i think its the fact that they salt the road whenever they "think" its gonna snow, even tho we had 3 snow falls last year lol

Yeah its lame and most of you may not believe this being that its just a grand am, but right now its in strict enjoyment mode! lol. Cant wait to get these performance mods bolted on and then the dyno! Next spring should be most exciting time for this car! ... And then its saving for a down payment on a GTO since they are coming down in price, the plan is to keep the grand am though!

Mac would be proud.. lol

dude thats pretty sweet not gonna lie. i used to take care of my GA like it was gold, then i quickly realized that every time i washed the car i would see more scratches from rock chips to people dragging keys along it to get into their cars or whatever since it was parked in a high school parking lot. i dont think iv hand washed it since i got out of high school strictly laser wash. i hand wash my stang, and the metallic silver to it just glimmers beautifuly.

good luck with your car tho man enjoy it while you got it!

not trying to thread jack in anyway! but yeah it does protect for the most part. lol

Good thing I stopped caring about the car. I may clay and wax it, but that may be the last time a single **** will be given about the exterior.

Put my snow tires on with the 16" multi spokes that I might paint a fun color. Otherwise??

Maybe two or three Gopro's with some mounts to get the drifting action

Because DD

lol My friend was doing this last winter, he tried to drift into an alley. Needless to say he overshot it and managed to knock a guys shed off of its foundation... did $3000 in damaged and totaled out his little $500 sunfire, if your gonna do this go in the country or something!

It must be my age, because I don't even care for that anymore.

This is why I'm not as excited for winter anymore now that we got the Sorento. Full-Time AWD sucks! The pathfinder was RWD with 4WD selectable...that was fun!

;1186831']It must be my age, because I don't even care for that anymore.

You don't care for alot of things now a days.

Also Adam, get an STi and you won't say 24/7 AWD sucks ;D

Actually if you have the ability to turn trac off, you can get a AWD vehicle to do great drifts on freshly coated roads.
