Here's a quick checklist for easy power additions:

-flush and refill blinker fluid with fresh fluid
-replace muffler bearings with high strength units
-add elbow grease to all steering and suspension parts
-add sand to engine oil for maximum lubrication in critical engine parts

You could always put some hi-performance brake fluid in it. And as a bonus, take the old brake fluid and wipe down your hood with it. Nothing cleans paint like brake fluid.

I find removing the elbow in front of the the air box will make a cool sound. You could also take out the back seat

You all don't know about filling your tires with helium? Makes the whole car lighter to the world, gain you half a second in an 1/8th mile.. serious gains.

I saw instant gains with #2 and 4, however I felt the 1 and 3 were a waste of my time! Now the engine sounds like a real race car with all the mean engine roar going on!
