View Full Version : Dome Light

I switched the dome light with an LED. It works but when switched to door and all doors are closed, the light still gets a little bit of power and is on a bit. What could be the problem?

Im no expert using LED's but im thinking some type of resistor may be in need? LED's use way less power

yes it does need a resistor, some people just leave it be. its really up to you.

LEDs use less power and last longer then incandescents to begin with so if its on a little it won't do anything major. My map lights do the same when they are LED, only can see it at night they are only VERY VERY dim but when you wiggle the mirror wire around you can get them to turn completely off.
I have yet to put LEDs in my dome light because I kinda like just having LEDs in the floor and map lighting only, its nice and subtle, I have the dome light turned completely off.
