As far as I know the fuel gauge issue seems to be a very common problem. Mine hardly works. Id plan on just replacing the sensor in the tank.

Good lord man, was your car a flood salvage or something? constant popup problems like that sure make it sound that way.

Standing at the front of your car, passenger side of the top front of the motor, next to the serpentine belt is a brass valve, it's a bleeder for the coolant. temp drop off like that can be nothing more than air in the line, so use 2 wrenches, hold one on the bottom, and one the open the top, slowly, easy, it's brass, not the strongest metal ever. i think i have a pic of this actually, i'll edit it in here..

Theres the little bugger, open that, start the car. if it's draining antifreeze, close it, let it run for a minute, and repeat. that would be the 1st thing to check IMO, and the easiest.

Dont worry for now about misfire
Feuling is set in part by the coolant temp sensor and a few other factors.
You may have a fan relay going bad or the temp sensor not grounding or your very very low on coolant
Check all grounds , check coolant level and purge untill its full and go from there

so could the coolant temp sensor cause the gauge not to work because it works sometimes. ie: I was driving home this morning and it was reading the normal 190-200 then all of a sudden it drops down to 0 i was like o_0 wtf

ok thanks sleepy im thinking it may be my coolant temp sensor my thermostat was changed last year with my LIM job

Well if that doesn't work I'd give another thermo a try. Couldn't hurt and its like 12$.

I just did both because I had everything removed to basically do both jobs, it was just to save the hassle.

If not then I guess your going to be looking at relays next.
