I found this hood in Craigslist for $150 and I am wondering if it is an OEM hood? If so does anyone know about how much it cost to have this hood painted at a GM dealer?

From that last angle it looks to be OEM, how ever get a close up of the vents at a head on angle.

Those are the pictures that the guy sent me, he said it is missing the mesh for the nostrils. Can those be bought somewhere? And does it really cost $500+ to paint the hood?

Seems like a good price but check some body shops you dont need a dealer to paint it for you.

$100 for an Sc/t hood is a wicked deal. Like everybody is saying, get a picture with the hood facing you so you can see the openings. Annd you should try looking on eBay for the Meshe!

I have an oem sc/t hood, my metal plate behind mesh grills were rusting and going to ****. Just go to a reputable body shop, and they should be able to make a templet for you, and you can have them sand blast and repaint it, or you could use that template and make your own to save some cash. I went with option 1 the sand blast, sand, then repaint only cost me 50$. I got some grills from customcargrilles ( http://www.customcargrills.com/products.asp?cat=12) and put them in and it looks sick.

This what the bottom of them looks like?
I just picked this up off the roll back as it was on the way to junk yard around here.

I like the closed vents keep the engine clean.
