Chang oil light is on.

My "chang oil" light has come on. Well, I'm going to change the oil today. Is that light going to go out, or do I have to reset something? Can't imagine the car knows when the oil gets changed.(I'll be very impressed if it does):thumbs:

In the fuse panel on the drivers side(inside)
Turn your key on with out starting the car and press the reset button let off and press and hold the button again till in dings and voila it should go out

Do as Botlefed said to change your light but please do not go by this light when changing your oil!

isnt there a way by tapping the brakes? i cant remember what the position of the key is supposed to be in.

It's in the manual.. if You did not get one with the car, you can find them cheap on Ebay...

The Brake Method (works on all late model gm's)

- Key in "on" Position (car not on)
-Pump brake pedal to the floor and all the way back, three times
-youre done

i hate that freaking light..........it always comes about one week after i change my oil.....why when were and what does this light get its info from??????
