Which O2 sensor is going bad? Have you had the troublecodes pulled? You may have a clogged cat.

As for coolant, stick with DexCool. It's no longer the same formula everybody whines and complains about, so use it.

I haven't had a problem with the green coolant its been in their for almost a year now but I always had problems with dex cool. If you're doing a transmission service I would recamend to use DEXIV for the transmission fluid replacement!

There*

Dexcool changed their formula, and they no longer have problems running it in vehicles, like previously stated.

Do you have a problem with the Cobalt? I'm just tryin to help the OP, and re-stating what Chris had said, which you clearly don't read.

Go swap a 3800 into your grand am, and shut the hell up. :hay:

(Skip to second paragraph for the problem) Well i had a few problems with the dexcool i went to walmart for my oil change because i got a gift card from there and i never go there with my purchases being done on ebay and they told me that they do a free check up with every Oil change and i told the guy not to do anything but the god dam oil change and that i check my car regularly for everything but they opened my coolant and then closed it with the cap still half open

All that to say i have a prestone yellow universal coolant that says it works for dexcool and i had a few problems after that my coolant was low ended up bien a bubble of air on the coolant sensor just had to slightly hit it with a wrench

And now i changed the passenger side bearing because there was alot of noise coming from there and the noise is still there when i turn right i goes away but when i turn left for go straight its there i tryed closing the motor while the car was on wheels( rolling) and still there I'll try to change drivers side and hope to fix the problem

Other then that the car seems to have lost power it used to be able to spin the tires when ets was off and now it doesn't i cleaned maf and it helped a little

You probably have a clogged cat. Very common issue, mine ate three.

How much does a cat cost or what is the fix it seems to me that the cat it the problem and probably going to have to change the o2 sensor

A quality catalytic converter that WON'T throw a code will cost around $200-$400. Most aftermarket replacement cats tend to throw codes after break in, don't buy no-name cheap crap.

Make sure to get the car aligned after changing the outer tie rods.

It's funny, my GAGT had the original tie rods when I sold it...176K is rather impressive.

Can i align the car my self?

[ChaosweaveR]

No, there's no way to properly align it yourself.

Go to a reputable shop with a computerized alignment rack.
