View Full Version : What's a good ignition switch lubricant?

When I put the key in the ignition I have to rattle the key around a bit before it will turn. I have 3 sets of keys for the car (2 original, 1 copy) and all 3 of them behave this way so I'm assuming it's not a problem of warn out keys. Maybe it's a warn out ignition switch.

But rather than going through the pain of changing the thing, perhaps some lubricant will help extend its life a little longer. Of course there are the usual suspects: WD40, graphite, etc. But I'm not sure these are good options for this particular car.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!
