My buddy has a set of 18x8.75 wheels with a +20 offset. They are a 5x115 bolt pattern and they came ogf his TL. I like them and need largdr wheelds now that I've upgraded to the f body setup. I just want to make sure the width and offset will be okay. Help me out car gurus!

Ill post more info and pics when I get to a PC.

What is the hub bore on them? Stormtec fit some 18x9 mustang wheels that had around a 22-25mm offset on his with no problems and he was lowered on Eibachs.

Make sure you get a 245/40/18 tire MINIMUM

Does 73.1 sound correct. That what info I found online. The wheels are xxr 527.

Dunno if that sounds correct, you're the one who knows the wheels you're getting lol.

If it is 73.1 the hub bore of the GA is 70.3 so all you need is a hub centric ring with the inner diameter of 70.3 and an outer diameter of 73.1 and you'll be good to go.

I will post pics when I'm done. I am powder coating the calipers and brackets. I test installed them and they look good. Now I'm tearing them down and cleaning them up. Plan is to powder coat everything I can on suspension toaccent the car and wheels.

Here is a stock pic of the wheel. Some basic research and reading posts from AaronGTR...No Joke...I understand I need a HubCentric Spacer to bridge the gap from the 70.3 to 73.1 sizes and probably a wheel spacer to ensure I don't make contact with the wheels under tight turning. For strength I am going to get a full set of ARP extended wheel studs.

I am going to go pick one wheel up and put it on the car in the garage to ensure these wheels will not stick out beyond the fenders and look ridiculous. Basically a good deal and a tire I always liked on his TL.

Let me know if I have missed anything or just made an a** of myself.

If Stormtecs 18x9 wheels where flush with the fender without spacers then you'll be fine with 18x8.75" rim. You don't need spacers, just hub centric rings.

Get hub rings, you'll be fine. I'd run a 245/40 tire, 255/35 R18 if you want a bigger contact patch.

XXRs tend to be weak, so be weary of bad roads and pot holes.

Good Info guys. Thank you for the input. If I can avoid the spacers I will.

I say it won't be a daily driver but if its as nice as I think it will be, it may be hard not to enjoy it daily if not on the weekends.
