View Full Version : Door Pillar removal?

I can't seem to find any decent instructions to remove the black door pillar on the exterior of the car. I found 2 small screws by moving the molding on the inside out of the way but the door pillar does not come off. Is there any other screws or something else holding it on?

I was going to remove mine to paint it, but I think there is glue under there. I got about as far as you did

I tried at a junkyard once cause I was gunna get a spare set to be wrapped in carbon fiber. They a PITA to get off. I bent the **** out of them
I'm guessing yours are faded? I would just leave them on the car and mask off really well around them and paint them still on the car

Hit a junkyard and try to pull them. Not easy

They are very easy to bend. Best way to do it is a razor blade and run it straight down behind it without bending it.. I went to a junk yard to get a new one for mine... tried 3 different cars before I managed not bending.. oh and after you get down to the door pull up a little bit. It sits in the window crease a bit. Just wiggle left to right and pull up.
