well my opinion on the game was that i thought it was horrible. i couldnt tell ya how many lobs were thrown and completely missed. how many bad passes, how much sloppy play their was. it was like they had blindfolds on and had to play without seeing the court or players. although i did have to say mariah carey did put on a nice show, and might i add, i like her style uniforms better. anyway, wtf was jermaine o'neal doing at the end of the game after jordan hit that fade away with like 3 secs later. the guy blocks a lot of shots i will give ya that, but i mean a running fadeaway three and your gonna try and block it, when ur up 2 points. doesnt make sense. well being in chicago and seeing jordan many of times over his career, it was nice to see him on the court for the last time having fun. even though he couldve possibly had the game winner if it wasnt for jermaine, it was ok to watch. any thoughts??

Horrible? I thought from a competitive standpoint it was one of the best in awhile. They never play serious until late 3rd quarter. The lobs and fancy stuff are fine at the beginning.

Jermaine O'Neal on the other hand:tool: :rage: What an idiot. I hope he lives with the fact he cost MJ from going out with the winning shot in his last All Star game. He won't though, because he is part of the new age, don't give a crap, stuck on themself, NBA player.

I didnt get to watch anything but the highlights, but I think the East would have won if there were more Hornets there:D

WHy would you put Vince Carter and Paul Pierce in, in the last 5 min. They are ice cold and all they want to do is score, should have left the others in, Jordan said he was done though, i would have loved if Jermaine O'Neil would have just put a hand in Kobes face instead of rape him like that, what better way for Jordan to leave, but with a game winning shot in his last all star game. OH well it was fun.

i totally agree....jermaine oneal made a HUGE mistake fouling kobe from 3...but what was wrong with kobe! He missed a freethrow at the end of regulation, and then another one at the end of the first OT? I hope that's a sign of things to come...so that my sacramento kings can whip em in the playoffs :D

I think this game proved that Jordan has to retire...he's still the greatest player of all time, but he's far from the best player in the game right now...he shouldn't have come back, but now he should really leave...we've had great memories of him, and it's time to bow out with as much dignity as he can. Did you guys see T-Mac? he's the new man in the NBA :D

Off topic:

Mariah Carey  :D

Great game, it seemed like the West would go up by 8, then the East would come back make a run, tie it up and then go up by 8 themselves. I had a 10 dollar bet on the West and I was gettin scared at the end, especially when Jordan hit that turnaround shot over Marion. Thanks to Jermain O'Neal for the dumbest foul I've ever seen that helped me out a lot!!! It was your typical all star game, careless play everyone trying to get theirs in the first half then they get serious and play a real game the second half.

On a side note, anyone catch the dunk contest? Richardson was amazing.

What is Jordan averaging now? 12 pts a game?? Jeez I hope at his age I can still jog, let alone play in the NBA. He may not be up to his "form" of old but he's still productive.

I do however think he's hurting his own career averages by continuing to play.

errrrr, MJ is actually 31st in the league in scoring with 18.6 a game.

Tracy McGrady is sweet, but I have truly been awakened in the last 10 games that Kobe is the next Jordan. He is 24 with 3 rings, and is playing at age 24 like MJ did at age 30...calm and cool and ready to dazzle under control. Kobe use to score 30 by pressing, now he scores 30,40, 50 by letting the game come to him.

I've always said, at Kobe's age, if he developed the turnaround J from the low post identical to Jordan's...he would be unstoppable. Look what it did to MJs career, Kobe is the same build and size, but 5 years younger than when MJ started utilizing it.
