So my morning started off as any typical monday would.. I was cruizing into work as usual.... when out of the woods comes Wyle E. Coyote decides he wants to get to the other side of the road... I had about a split second to react and even that wasn't enough to get out of the way.

Well, one loud crunch followed by a "DAMNIT" from me and then a loud scraping sound later, I realized that my perfect 02 was going to be getting some reconstructive surgery..

Here's what I can see needs to be replaced so far:

front clip
passenger side fog lamp
A/C condensor
Radiator
Gutter Guard
more to come

It looks like the trans cooler made it through without getting damaged.

I had to wonder just what made this coyote strike Jeremy's car... Coyotes aren't natural enemies to Grand Ams. Hmmm... odd that a coyote would get hit by one then. I continued to investigate further to get down to the REAL reason this poor coyote was killed. Yes Jeremy... the REAL reason, and I found it!

This poor coyote was simply trying to stand up for itself and show that his cousin Wile E. would NOT be slapped in the face by such a blatant offensive sticker as the vinyl that adorns Jeremy's fender.

When I tracked down this coyotes family members, they had this to say. "Yeah.... Fred (the before mentioned deceased) was a good guy. He was always trying to make a statement for coyote rights. When he saw this sticker he was just dumbfounded. EVERY day this guy drove past with that sticker on his car. Just as he'd drive by our hole he'd yell out MEEP MEEP!! You know, like that damn Roadrunner. Fred equaled this to those stickers that have Calvin peeing on logos and whatnot... he tried to stand up for what he believed in. This is what he got. *snif*"

Services will be held on Thursday just down from the old oak tree, next to the glassy pond.

Well, I just talked to the body shop and they're saying I should have my baby back by Saturday.. Monday at the latest.

They're saying the following needs to be replaced:

front bumper & brackets
AC Condenser & some lines
Radiator
Fog lamp assembly (will replace with Blazertech)

He asked about the red stripe and the mesh and the other decals and I said I'd take care of those, but to roll the cost into the repairs.

I just made it into work today after picking up my rental car. My insurance is paying $25.99 a day for a car and I got an '02 PT Cruizer for $30.99, so it's only costing me $5. a day to drive something decent vs some little econobox Haundai.

well, the accident happened shortly after 6:00am this morning and I drove by the scene on my way to work after getting the rental shortly after 10:00 and the bastard was gone. IDOT or local municipality came by and scraped the carcas up. I should call the body shop and have them save some of the fur from the front end.

I'll print out one of the pictures and frame it with the bastards fur in the frame.

How in the hell do you manage to nail a coyote? I thought they were from the west or something. I managed to hit 7 racoons driving between Rockford and Algonquin last summer taking the country roads through Boone and McHenry counties. Thats in a 4x4 truck though, and not my GTZ.

How much is your bumper gonna be? GM doesnt like the GTZ/ Z26's because new front bumpers are around 600 bucks. Get the SCT kit now. heh.

Kinda OT, but when I wrecked my Integra last year I was going to upgrade my rental to a GA or a Malibu for $5 more than what the insurance was paying, but they were out of them so I ended up getting a free upgrade to a 2002 Ford Explorer. It was kinda fun driving a big brute for a week, and even more fun to see the look on my brother's face when he thought I'd replaced the Integra with that truck...
