This is my customized 2003 Grand Am GT1 with SC/T package. This was showroom car at the San Francisco Internation Auto Show last November and had 24 miles on it when I bought it in January. It has 900+ now. I have customized it with custom clear taillights (I will upload the current pictures later this week), dark purple vinyl, hood grilles opened and painted purple with grilling in the bumper and "nostril" painted purple. It is fully loaded only missing dual power seats.

Yeah, those mirrors suck. I am going to look for me some for my car too eventually. I mean they aren't even painted!! What a rip off and they are ugly to boot.

I masked off everything and painted it black then I masked off the lettering and painted it chrome then I sprayed the edges with a dark purple and then went over that a few days later when it was completely dry and used a lighter purple and painted it by hand with a paintbrush. It took a lot of patience. I would had taken the manifold off but I didn't trust myself to put it back together the right way.

Purple and Black rules... the reason I did purple on black is because the car I traded it was a purple 99 GASE and I really really loved that car so I wanted to "commerate" it on my new car... turned out very well. We can be twins, that's okay!

Thanks. I did custom taillight covers by hand on them... when I get a chance I post some pictures up of them.
The taillights are cleared GT tails with glass red beehive clearence lights glued inside where the bulbs come in the back and amber bulbs in the signals. They are a dark crimson red when you look straight at them at night. Really sweet.

Yeah... all by hand. I used high heat black enamel paint and standard purple, chrome, and lavendar acrylic. I took a lot of art classes when I was in high school. :)

BTW, highwayprowlerz, what is up with your clear tails in the first grouping of pics?? They look like they have a gunshot hole in each of them. Did you crack them trying to clear em?

Well first of all I would like to tell you guys that I'm a she so I would be spider woman I guess... Secondly, thank you for all the great comments.
Also... I could probably customize your taillights for you. I would have to get the vinyl to do it but I could proably do it... depends on what you want. Let me know.
Darren... I thought the Oakland Temple was a great place to get some beautiful pics of my new baby. The one of the sun and the flag is my favorite.

Looks great. I love the Black/Purple accents. The tails look great too, just make sure you seal them really good so they don't blacken like mine did.
Great to see more girls/women on the site. It's nice being part of a group with cars that appeal to both sexes.
I like the chrome SC/T on the spoiler. Nice touch.
Next mod, try the dual 3" magnaflow exhaust. Adds the best appearance mod for the back end.

Perhaps, but I have never been a fan of big mufflers. Besides, a big muffler does me no good really if I don't have a high-flow cat.

How do you mean they blackened???

Why does GM call it an SC/T package? There is no SC under the hood. I guess I have to buy the SC/T hood, so that I'll have a true SC/T. By the way, that is a very sharp ride. Enjoy it and take care of it.

They really aren't that big, it just fills in the cut-outs very well.

Well, I guess I didn't seal it good enough and it got to the point it wasn't reflecting right. After opening the lenses back up, it was just truning black. I had to paint the reflective and put the colored lenses back in.

I'm not sure highwayprowlerz can give you an answer for that, but it is part of the SC/T Appearance Package.
