Im installing interior neon under my dash and im trying to figure out the easiest way to hook up the wires. I want to hook it into the dimmer switch so they turn on when the lights turn on.....but im not sure what wires to hook the neon wires to. I know the information was on the forum, previous to the restart, but I've forgotten which wires are which.
Any help would be appreciated. Im really itchin to but them in today.

What I did, is to splice the neon power wire (cut the cig lighter thing off) into the passenger side fuse box, into the fuse for the steering wheel cruise control lights. That way, they come on with the lights, and they dim!

hey, I just did this in my '01 GT1 and it is fairly simple. It does require a little knowledge about relays though. Just go to Radioshack or somewhere and pick up a relay and a rocker switch. I also got wire taps. tap into the orange wire of the dimmer switch and run that wire to the rocker switch. then run another wire from the rocker switch to the relay, connect to whatever the relay says. From there I got my 12v power and ground from the cigarette lighter. Splice in the power and ground from the neons to the relay. End result is whenever my instrument lights come on, so do the neons under the dash. The rocker switch is an override to kill the power if I don't want them on for some reason.

Thanks for the replies. Since I have no clue about relays, I tapped it into the fuse. I couldn't believe how simple it was to hook up. The only problem was that I bought a 20" neon tube for under dash, but I just couldn't get it to fit. So instead I put it in the back. Right in the middle near the floor where the back seat cushion meets the carpet. You can only see it if your in the front seat and looking back and downwards. I think it came out really well. The neon glows on the back of the front seats, back seat floor and also the ceiling near the front of the car.
Since I didnt have a neon up front, I bought red clear plastic and covered the two bulbs under the dash. Now the front glows red too! I am very happy with the outcome, thanks for the help.
