Had a great time Saturday, even though it was crazy cold outside. Had to leave for a while to run home a get blankets. Apparently it was good for the racers. Our local Jay Johnson ran the fastest time for the day at 9.8 @134 in his LS1. This was 2 runs after his passenger T-top blew off on a run. Just thought I'd share the pics. The first link is mainly the Grand Ams I saw. Was blown away by how much time and money spent on these cars. Very much worth it though. I thought some of the GA's looked better than alot in the other classes that just looked ordinary. Enjoy!

Cool pics! Thanks for sharing.

Wish I could have been there, but some things just can't be worked into the ol' schedule. :)

It was cold for sure. If my car had been clean I might have put it in the show but it was far from clean and need some stuff I need to fix first. She was camped out in the parking lot shivering in the cold :D
See the black TA yank 2nd gear? Talked to the owner afterwards(he posts on a local f-body board) and he said he bout had to go change his underwear after the car went out of control at the end of the track

Yeah, I saw that. I had to look away cuz I thought for sure he was going into the wall. He did an awesome job recovering. Did you see the T-top go. That happened to us one day on 35. We had just drove like 30 miles from home doing 65-70 mph, saw a Viper about 1/4 mile up the road so we got on it a bit and the passenger t-top just lifted up and kinda hovered for a couple of seconds, then it was gone. Scary then, I can't imagine what he was thinking on the track. Missed the Z06 blowing its back end though.

The TA lost a cooling line and hosed the track and the back tires got slick. He was running on ET streets and not slicks, stock wheels up front and 16" bird wheels in back with a terrible burnout. I was impressed with how his car is running. Are 396 stroker only running a 100 shot, has a 300 progressive set up that he didn't have hooked up. The T-top was LOUD. I was over in the section of the seats by the burnout box that were angled. Also saw a viper venom 650 roll through the parking lot
I saw 4 rear ends go, haha... another guy in the same club was the black formula who nuked his rear drive shaft and yanked his exhaust off. He's got a denny's nitrous drive shaft going in now. He's supposed to go low 11's on motor and has a 300 shot waiting on him, heh...

I followed the was about 4 cars behind the Viper when I left to run home. I was going like 90 for the longest trying to catch up, but am already waiting for defensive driving on another ticket.

I saw the viper roll through the parking lot also it was sweet. I also saw the Z06 lose his rear end and get pushed off the track:D . I didnt watch as much racing as i would have liked to though it was way to windy and cold. I would have really liked to see that 9 second run by the camaro.
