Seth and I found an engine tuning shop here locally. I havn't contacted them yet, but will soon.

The dillyo:
Jules Schonberger
Philadelphia Racing Engines
268 Geiger Road
Philadelphia, PA 19115
United States

Just to give you a taste of what they're capable of: "General machine work, CNC work, balancing, head porting, carburetor work. Dyno testing for rent or dyno R&D. Crankshaft grinding/Cam Doctor, Computer engine modeling. In business for 35 years. Have complete parts inventory of race parts. All work done in our 12,000 sq. ft. shop. We are proud of our track championships and national speed records held. We cater to the little guy aspiring to get bigger."

The plan:
Have as many people as possible show up Friday night/early Saturday. Head to shop on Sat for multiple runs... I'm assuming if we get enough people, we could probably just rent it for a good part of the day. Hold a moderate schindig Sat. night, maybe go for a cruise before the firewater starts flowing... Go home Sunday, dyno sheets in hand for braggin rights.

The dates:
I personally would like to wait until late March for all of this snow/cold weather/depression to melt off. These are some possible dates I came up with, please add yours and we'll figure something out:
March
>28-29-30
April
>11-12-13
>18-19-20
>25-26-27
May
>9-10-11
>16-17-18

Cool post up when you find out the details...I'd also rather wait till mid-end april like a few weeks before carlisle. March is a killer month with bills :(

Once this snow and cold get out of the way, I will be ready. It looks like in May would be best.

I'm in! We should all add our e-mails & get on a list or something..

IBLIS420@aol.com

Anyone read the March 2003 issue of Import Tuner? They had a Spec V in the power pages! :D I know most of you don't care, but o-well ;)

They added the Hot Shot intake "I have AEM", Hot Shot header, and the Stillen axel back.
Stock hp was 147 and tq was 156.9

With all parts on the hp was 164.1 and tq was 168.5. <--pratically my setup

Max power gained for the intake was 5.1 hp and 5.1 tq, axel back was 2.7 hp and 2.8 tq, & header was 9.3 hp and 3.7 tq.

This seems pretty good IMO. I'm hoping I pull a little higher numbers considering I don't have a sensitive knock sensor..

Yea I'm hoping for 165-170 whp.

Rob is this open to anyone? I could post up on the sentra board see if anyone is interested. Might cut the price down the more peeps we get.

Um, they could do it, but well, no the couldn't. A Throttle body can't just be ported because then the butterfly has to be matched to the new diameter of the TB. It really wouldn't be worth it... Just get a brand new one w/ the diameter you want.

Hit me at : jaketuff@grandamgt.com
I wish we had something like that type of article... :( Car is so light that the 'small' amount of HP really kicks ya in the ass huh?

I think you are really doing well with em G and D. Keep it up, that tranny is capable of 300HP right? Is it out of the Max? Can't wait to see the other tricks you guys do after the more "basic" mods.:D
The Spec5 is a real sleeper.

its funny, we all switch to import after something happens to our GA. so eventually they will be part of us. we should definatly create a small sect of our group with the imports, now there are 3 i know of, me dopespecv and greg farz who have the imports, who else joined us. hehe also i would love to see what my car can do. i know i can waiste a 2000+ BMW 325Ci off the line. what else. i wanna see numbers. lol

Not sure what happened to this idea but I posted over on b15sentra.net and heres what I found out from a friend...

Ok I did some digging. There are not many dynojet's nearby at all.

The two best deals I found are as follows.

Performance Specialties
Pottstown,PA
normal rates $89.50
If we can get 10 people $55
If we can get 20 people $50

Europeon Racing
Wilmington,DE
normal rates $100
If we can get 10 people $60
If we can get 20 people $50

I am going off the list on dynojet.com If anyone knows of any other dynojets in the local area, let me know and I will give them a call.

Hopefully we can get at least 10...20 might be a stretch but maybe.

Looks like the shop in Pottstown is the best one so far $55 for 10 people. Its like 15mins from king of prussia not that far.

I need a list of those with SERIOUS interest...not maybe or I'll think about it and tell you a day before...I need YES or NO. Nothing will suck more than having people back out at the last minute therefore screwing everyone else into paying more.

I'm trying for 10 theres a few guys on the Sentra board that are definite.

1-3. Greg (gregfarz78) + 2
4. Dan (ihaveadopespecv)

Greg, you haven't given a date. I'm in, but I have to go away for work a couple times in the next month or 2, tht would effect my definite answer.

wow, over down here a run will cost $50/pull. we actually have an event called Dyno Wars. where a big group of people get together and try to guess their hp and win cash ($100+). except on those days you pay $50/3 pulls. i would really like to see the hp you guys are making. there arent many dyno numbers on the boards, just 1/4 times. im rootin for everyone. especially Irate and that thing in his engine bay

count me in, if its cool. i wanna see what my car is really pulling in, and by then i should decide on which cold air induction i wanna get. don't think i will do a turbo being i would have alot of changing to do with a 11:1 compression ratio. thats not too good to have when getting a turbo. anyhow, let me know the dates.

would also be good to see ya'll again since i haven't seen anyone since the pontiac day at Atco.

Mmmm, OK, I can make 4/26. Remember, those are the 2 weekend dates for the NYC car show (I plan on going the 19th). Plus, 4/19 weekend is Easter for some who aren't doing the show.
