I have brought my car into the dealer twice now for a leaky winshield. The first time I brought it in, they did not follow the TSB, which says to pull the windshield and reseat it. Instead the dealer tried to put some sealent in.

Well, it did not work, and after this last rain, it was still soaking wet in my car. This time the dealer pulled the windshield and installed a brand new one with a new seal. Turns out the factory goofed when they installed it the first time.

Now my question is:
The dealer did not follow the TSB the first time, and actually they did not follow it the second time either by not taking off the headliner and cleaning it. Is there anything I can say or do or report it to? I am just happy that I got the problem fixed, I feel they should have followed the TSB.

Thanks!

That is what I am thinking too. I can always pull headliner off myself and clean it if I need to. Thank goodness I have the Lotek pillar in there. When it started leaking, I just unscrewed it, pulled it off, and let the water leak out. Much easier than trying to yank off the factory pillar!

hehe, my car, if there is a hard way, it will find it. Actually mine came off easy, but not knowing what to expect and trying to becareful, I pulled it off and slammed my elbow into the steering wheel (clutz, I know)

well on my ZR2 the back window leaked in it..the first time they tried to seal it before they bought a whole new back window..GM pinches pennys any penny saved is a penny earned...but yah..when the new sealant didnt work..only then did they replace the whole window...i dont think they went against the TBS..they were just more cautious to see if they could fix the problem instead of having to do something that wounldnt have helped...but yeah..its fixed so no worrys now:cheers:
