that happened in my car, except i lost first gear
apparently 15 mph into reverse, then shifting into drive, and flooring it.. is a bad idea... numerous neutral drops... yadda yadda (rigourous research in my book).. will destroy a transmission
have you done anything stupid to ruin yours? :)

well i went thru this same thing for a time.
I don't know how you drive your car, but if you're up to 90...i bet it's fast and hard.
Slow down for a little bit...drive normal for a few days and let your car "recoup"
It might be your fuel filter is dirty.
I had my injectors cleaned and it did wonders on my car.
Try resetting your battery for an hour. (disonnect the negative)

E-gad.... lol I think there's a reason GM has the fuel cut-off when going from high revs in neutral to drive. Although, it seems you found a way to override that.
Like was said above, if you keep doing that expect you tranny to :vomit: all over the pavement at some point.

A while ago there was a newbie on ClubGP that said he put slicks on his GT Grand Prix and was tring to warm them up by spining them by revving it then slamming it into drive from neutral, (GP does not have the fuel cuttoff thing that will prevent that), he said he could not get them to spin and he reported a funny smell and strange noises, also he said it wasn't shifing right anymore after that. I about shat myself for laughing when I read that, poor guy.
Response to the actual thread:
I'd take it in and have it checked, it might not be the transmission (sadly it probbably is), but it could be somthing like a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor) or electrical related problem.

 Thats Almost hard to take in that someone would do that with drag slicks
