So guys, what would you make out of this INCIDENT>>>

I goto a local Community College. At school, I always park by a light pole with a campus emergency
box on it. The reason I do this is because it's close to the school, and there is a camera on the
pole. Logical reasoning right? Well, I've been doin this for almost 2 years now. Thursday I'm in
class and I get a note from someone from the campus security office telling me to go down there.
WEll, I take my buddy and we go down to the office. I'm freaking out, thinking that someone broke
into my car. Anyways, the lady in the office sends us out the east doors of the building to have
the campus officer pick us up. Well, he picks us up, and I'm freaking. I ask him what happend and
he says "Well, there were a couple of guys working on the call box in front of your car, and the
one guy left the ladder unnattended for a few minutes and it blew over onto your car. Now, we are
talking about a 12 foot steal ladder hear. Anyways, The ladder took the drivers side mirror right
off of my 2002 Grand Am GT, put a nice ding in the drivers side door, chipped the paint on the hood
and put a dent in the hood, and scratched the side of my drivers side door. Well, I'm freaking
out, and the guy takes the report. Well, I go and get 3 estimates - $2,200 to fix this. The kick
in the BUTT is, that I was totally the victim here. On Friday I had my uncle call the school b/c
he is a lawyer. They wouldn't grant me a rental car UNTIL their claims adjuster could lookat my
car. This happens to be MONDAY! WEll, the kicker is that my car is technically ILLGEAL to be
driving, and I will get hassled like ALL he$$ in my town. So, my parents went w/ me, and I rented
an 03 Grand Prix GT. I then find out, that my local college is trying to say that the dent in the
hood was NOT caused by the ladder lol.. THe thing is, i'm so maticulous about my car, the thing was
zainoed the day before, and they're trying to tell me that it didn't come from this ladder. I told
the officer that it's quite ironic that it just happens to be on the drivers side of the hood
parallel to the mirror and there are little paint chips going up my hood towards the mirror. Well
anyways, sorry to vent, but what do you all make of this? Am I going to have a problem w/ the
adjuster Monday? The thing that ****es me off is that they're treating me like crap, and ALL I did
was goto school. They were COMPLETELY NEGLEGENT... Man, I could have killed someone!

if it were me, I'd go see the head of the school or whoever runs it and have a little talk about what happened

If there is a camera on the pole cant you get them to take a look at it and then see that the ladder made the dent?

hey don't forget to be nice and if they **** you over with the dent tell them you will sue .......plus maybe some nego can come out of it and you don't have to pay for college for the rest of community college days.................i also go to community college the onlyproblem is with out parking area is that we don't have enough spots so my car has to off road everyday. Actuallyonce the school called my house and claimed damages to the grass because i parked in this one place so much that i killed all of it. So i called the president of the school and told him whats happening and he dropped the case because our school has basically no parking.
