thats so wierd I saw you at the movies last night, at amc 30 last night ( Friday night) I noticed it because the hood looked tight and it was a different color than the rest of the car. But I have seen it in person at it looks tight. Good job!!

Not trying to cause any problems, but its not as easy as Nitrous and headers with an LS1

My brother had a 99 SS camaro with All SLP options plus Headers
NOS, and a few other things On the Bottle with 125 jets and RWHP was 408, I did'nt say it could not be done it is just not easy

dry or wet? also his is a detuned 99.... they detuned the ls1's on the camaros and firebirds after 98 cause it was dynoing just as high and sometimes higher than the c5 vette. but it's all good... I always have fun proving people wrong....:boogie:

I remembering reading about this in a mag. I think it was Car Craft. They went and did a chassis dyno on a number of stock vehicles and found that the Camaro/Firebird was producing more RWHP than the C5. This was a couple years ago.

I saw 2 '02 vettes only dyno 295..... and my buddies 98 firehawk only dynoed 304 stock. guess it all depends on the car... hopefully my car will continue to impress me...

Jesus, 317 RWHP stock. I can easily see 500 with those starting numbers and some tuning. If ya think about it, the LS6 isn't that different and it supposidly and I'm sure does crank out 405 hp stock, and stuff can still be done to it to get it up high without Nitrous. Add Nitrous and ur talking way over 500 at the crank for the LS6 engine, and I think the parts that will be added to this LS1 will get it in the range of or above the power of a LS6 without the Nitrous.

Anyway, I saw a Firebird hit above 400 hp at the wheels with a 75 shot and no other internal mods I think. The guy had some stuff like clutch and gears and exhaust and intake, but no new internals (i think, might have missed something tho), and "only" 75 shot. www.motorpics.com

www.racingfreaks.net gives a better idea of how a 125 shot and the other mods will do if u look at juicedss's info page. He has some internals done and he had a 100 shot and got 450 at the wheels. Dunno if it is a later detuned SS tho, maybe someone else could tell.
