Organization...

It would be awesome if someone took alot of the threads of how-to's and link and turned them into organized articles.

Sort it by the generations of the different Grand-Am's...

So if someone with a gen 3 Grand Am wants to see what how-to articles are out there they don't have to look through a million gen 4 articles to find the one or two gen 3 articles.

My point may have been lost through my rambling. But a couple examples of what I mean would be like:
http://volvospeed.com/maintenance.shtml
http://volvospeed.com/performance.shtml
or
http://www.mercedesshop.com/shopforu...splay.php?f=28
http://www.mercedesshop.com/Wikka/DoItYourSelf

P.S. I personally like the Volvospeed site more than the benz site (I also liked my volvo more than my benz). But the benz site sorts out the different how-to's by chassis and engine series numbers...

Tonyyank 03-09-2008 10:22 AM

This site is mainly for gen 4 ga's 99-up

Jrs2000 03-09-2008 10:26 AM

Isn't that the story for pretty much everything to do with Grand Ams?

It still would help Gen-4 people to have it organized.

Tonyyank 03-09-2008 11:05 AM

is this going to be for people that are too lazy to search.

And how much will it cost??

Ajaxus 03-09-2008 11:25 AM

I would suggest editing our your last name in that first post..with that, your first name and your location..well, not smart..

New guy complaining about how things are and hadn't even fully test the water yet. Outstanding.. lol

Def. not enough pre-99s over here to make anything like that worth establishing.

This style has worked pretty damn well for many years, but thanks for trying

The may one's the Indiana one right? I'm down if we can get a decent convoy going..make the trip a little more fun, and lessen the chance of getting lost maybe.

You goin?

Ajaxus 03-09-2008 10:01 PM

It's hard to get lost in Indiana...

tell that gal to get on here and talk to me

so, tony, rand, you, me, jon.... throw in jim and t and we'll be set

Jrs2000 03-10-2008 02:24 PM

Whatever. Its an idea.

It would be helpful.

Just because something has worked for years doesn't mean that it can't get better.

And just because someone CAN find something by the search feature. It would be nice to see the different write-ups for different mods and such side by side.

Take it as you want, and write off my suggestion because I'm a new member. :iconfused

Why the hell would I do that? Are you going to come visit me?

It wouldn't cost anything per say. Someone who knew something about PHP could do it in a matter of a few hours. ****, you could just make it a wiki page and have it up in a matter of an hour.

It takes a few keystrokes for people to use that little information to find out everything about you..but hey, if you don't mind your personal info being out there then please, carry on.

I was just trying to do you a favor. :amraam:

SikMindz 03-10-2008 02:41 PM

Simple really. As mentioned www.gaownersclub.com is a great source for all year GA's. Many members here are members there- HOWEVER, as 95% of the members here own 99+ GA's it would be a waste of time to include it here, when MAYBE 1 or 2 people would look at it.

It's a feasible idea just completely unneccesary for this forum.

Welcome? lol
