2000 Grand Am GT power steering pressure line part issue

So after replacing my badly leaking power steering pump my pressure line decided to leak too so when I got the part and installed it, unfortunately it's the incorrect one. Matches up along the bottom but get it to the pump itself I had to angle it so it hovers over the drive belt while anchoring it so to make sure it doesn't float into the drive belt.

Anyways going on auto part websites they seem to have the same part, which doesn't fit mine. I'll eventually post photos if need be but while I plan on stopping by an Autozone or Napa tomorrow morning i doubt if they dont have the correct one on their websites, its unclear which autopart store if any would have the correct part. For now the funky incorrect one works fine but I'd prefer to have the right part so I dont have to worry about it anymore.

Hmm. Probably need to see a picture to tell what you are talking about. Only thing I can think of is maybe they made a different line for the variable assist pumps vs the non-variable. The 2000's had a variable assist steering pump with a solenoid on the pump output that could change the amount of steering effort. The later cars didn't have that, so maybe you got a line for a standard pump car?

Unfortunately it seems my photos downgraded. Not sure how I could do this better but you can see from the top one that is the original part the new one curves very sharply at the end which made it difficult to install so I had to do it at an awkward angle. The ones shown in the auto part online stores like Autozone will show this sharp angle and not the one pictured in the top photo.

Edit: I had to click on the photo after I posted this to get the original, thought my uploads got downgraded lol
Also ignore my hack job. It's just a prevention so the line wont hit the drivebelt.

You have the wrong hose. GM lists 2 different hose and depends on if you have variable assist or not. Here is the listings.

Here is what AutoZone shows https://www.autozone.com/suspension-...se&model=power
