Regional Beer Exchange

(For over 21 only, sorry)

Well, its counting down to that time of year again, It worked good last year, so lets see what we can get this year.

For all the GAP nubes, last year we had a little beer exhange, where people would bring beer that is brewed locally to them, and do a swap at GAP one of the nights.. Worked out real good last year, and met a buncha great people..

Note to Michigan People: DO NOT BRING THE GREEN BEER!!

1. Molson (Sleeman, UpperCanada Lager, and maybe something else)

I think something regional to you is some special reserve bourbon. :D Any whisky distilleries close to you?

Molson, I think you need to bring me some UCL too :D

I will likely bring some shiner bock and ziegenbock again unless I find another local brew that beats them out. I have yet to do that in the 4 years I have been of legal drinking age

Is Yuengling distributed in MI? If not... that would be a good place to start for us east coasters.

Molson, that Canadian Coors light was really good. ;) And I hate the US Coors light too :vomit:

GregFarz78 05-09-2003 10:04 AM

Matt for some reason MI people hate yuengling, something is wrong with their taste buds I guess....Flying Fish might be a good one nice and strong...or Philadelphia Lager

Panacea 05-09-2003 10:15 AM

I'm in for it... how does it work? How much do I need to bring? We have a local brewery, dunno what the name is called off hand, but I can find out.

I would say the lowest limit would be a 6 pack while the sky is the limit for the max :D If one sounds good, just ask for a trade....no rules really...

Great idea for bring local beers.

I'm planning on bringing Newport Storm and Sam Adams.

I know Sam Adams is probably all over the country....but it's brewed in Boston. :)
