GM shop times are 8.5hrs for warranty work and 13.6hrs for standard work. Assume $60/hr and you're looking at $510-816. As I think I stated when this all started awhile back, look to spend right around $1000 to do a cam. Yet people just didn't believe me...

I believe ya, First thing I did was look up the times to change a cam in alldata. Not many people will do a cam simply for the fact of cost.
Many think it is only $380 for a cam Wow, then they don't know how to install it so there is another $800 then you need new lifters, gaskets, lubricants to install, ect. so add another $200+ then well the heads will be off you know I might as well do some head work and **** I might as well go stage 2. so you add another $1000 for heads. Personally I think that a Retune is a must with the stage 2 cam so that in itself is even more $$$$$ I personally see a stage 2 setup if installed by a shop to cost atleast $2500 all said and done with parts and labor. |

Well, there you go. I was just quoting what a shop charged me last month to replace the heater core in my Blazer. I wouldn't be suprised if most are higher than that.

So then the new sensor works on the older PCMs without causing any problems or codes? If so, then that's good to know...
