Yea, but that is not totally accurate... without Vick's rushing yards, they rank somewhere in the bottom 4 or 5 I heard. Granted, rushing yards are rushing yards, but shut down Vick's running and you've got a good start. Too bad my Vikes puked out again... but it made my season to see them destroy Green Bay. If only we could get a defensive guy that has half of Culpepper's heart and skill. If Daunte ever leaves the Vikings, wherever he goes will be my new team. :ec:

Oh, there are still teams playing, right. I say Falcons pull it off against the Eagles, Pats take down the Steelers (not by much), and Pats take care of the Falcons.

One more thing- I thought NE totally outplayed the Colts, and deserved the win, but I wanted Tony Dungy to get a ring. He deserves one.

ummmmm.....ya think? lol take away donovan mcnabb and the eagles passing attack i bet is dead last?

mikeyguru 01-20-2005 11:12 AM

dont really care about the AFC matchup as long as the patriots lose. philly better watch out for the mike vick experience.

99GApunk 01-20-2005 12:24 PM

ah more NE hatred :)

Maybe, but I bet their rushing yards would be just fine. I was just pointing out that Atlanta uses Vick as a RB more than any other team in the league, and he accounts for a large chunk of their rushing yards.

mikeyguru 01-20-2005 12:42 PM

vick is gonna have a hard time especially with this blizzard coming. hopefully atl will provide another upset to the eagles.

eric99gt 01-20-2005 12:50 PM

mike vick disgusts me. Not him personally but the way everybody rides his sac. What has he done??? If it wasn't for their defense they would be nowhere near the playoffs.

mikeyguru 01-20-2005 01:09 PM

yeah you right but he is a playmaker. give him his props. defenses have to change their style of play just for him. that has to say something about his ability

meh, i don't know that it's what he's done, but the kind of impact he has on his team. two years ago he played a solid season, led his team to the playoffs, beat green bay at lambeau (something no one had done in a long time or something like that)...and then lost to the eagles ;). year after he got hurt in preseason, but this year, he's playing solid, they won their division (although really weak), and he's in the NFC championship game.

he's not bad, but i think it's his stats are just not eye-catching. really, no other person in the league is capable of outrunning every person on the defensive side of the ball, on top of being able to throw a 70 yard bomb on a dime. he's the most explosive player potentially in the history of the league (possible argument for my boy, barry).

bryan1727 01-20-2005 01:38 PM

Why do so many people hate the Pats? Its a team filled with a lot of players who don't get the respect that they should. They don't have any true superstars and they are a TEAM. Whats not to like about them? I can understand fans of some teams but theres a lot of random hated towards them.

eric99gt 01-20-2005 01:50 PM

when teams win ppl hate them. Take the eagles for example. Either you're a fan or you probably dislike them. I know they haven't won as much at the pats...damit lol. But they still kicked a whole bunch of other fans teams out of the playoffs.

mikeyguru 01-20-2005 01:57 PM

well the reason i hate the pats is cuz ima jets fan. you guys are ny natrual enemy. i believe my hate is valid. yes i do agree though they are a team and champs until someone beats them. i still hate em.

mikeyguru 01-20-2005 02:00 PM

noone cared about the eagles till just recently. and they turned out to be what everyone thought they would be. a disappointment 3 times as much. prolly 4

i knew that was the reason :) i saw the NY under location.

i wouldnt mind the jets if they had a different coach, i like martin and their defense, but not pennington. and i used to like the giants before collins got shipped off. football is the only sport where i dont have extreme dislike for all NY teams.

eric99gt is right, i remember back when i was younger and the cowboys were so great, i hated them, more because everyone loved them just because they won so much

IanGT99 01-20-2005 07:08 PM

I don't hate the Pats. I respect them for their capabilities and all that. However, I dislike them right now because they're playing my Steelers. Simple as that. Whoever wins that game, I will be routing for them in the Super Bowl. If it's the Steelers (which I honestly think it will be) then I'll be routing A LOT harder... lol

not sure by what ya mean until just recently. I wouldn't call 4 NFC championship games in a row a dissappointment.

TJ95GAGT 01-20-2005 09:01 PM

^ yeah really. And judging by who is and isnt signed already they'll be in the running for the next few seasons. More then you can say for the 3 teams that beat them prior to this year.

99GApunk 01-20-2005 11:51 PM

i just got an idea, any steelers fans here that play madden 2005 online?.... we can settle this dispute before sunday or after, there will be the real life outcome and the grandamgt.com outcome, and we all know the internet one is the only one that counts

herm is great he has got this team to the playoffs in 3 outta the last 4 years. no jets coach has ever done that. not even parcells when he was with the jets. martin is awesome i had been followin him since parcells drafted him with ne. glad he got that rushing title. chad is gonna be allright, he better or someone is gonna come in and take his job. the g-men i dont know whats goin on there. good thing is kurt is gone

booooo pittsburgh sucks! lol

IanGT99 01-21-2005 12:37 PM

Haha...they do that at most games anyhow. I think it's a good thing. If people have an hour or so of no drinking at the end of the game, then they're at least a bit more sober for the commute from the stadium. I'm sure most everyone would agree, too if they were a family member of the girl that got paralyzed from the neck down from the stupid actions of a plastered fan...

Sure i'm upset. But the team is not a dissappointment. Now the niners that's a dissappointment. I would rather have a team that gets close every year than to be a perenial loser.

true. but a half is a long time, 4th quarter would be fine... we tailgate for 2 hours after pats games anyways

IanGT99 01-21-2005 02:35 PM

^^ haha...exactly. Put it this way, the fans will be drunk when they get there, get even more drunk during the first half, and then have a little bit of time to sober up so they can exit the stadium quickly, safely, and efficiently....and then go get more drunk. lol

99GApunk 01-21-2005 02:52 PM

i do think this is a good idea, just half the game seems like a lot.

durring red sox games they stop selling beer after the 7th inning, gives you two innings to sober up. well on easter i was at the game and these guys were buying our whole row beers all game, anyways, its the 8th inning, we are tied up, our section is wasted and it seems like a good idea to help the sox rally by taking our shirts off, nature finds it humorous and makes it get colder out.... game goes to the 12 inning and we all pretty much sober up somewhat and our bright idea isnt so bright anymore

so my moral is that beer helps crazy dumb fans at the game and they should let it go till the start of the 4th quarter

oh and my drunk shirtless mohawked self got on tv with our whole row and ortiz hit a walk off homerun in the 12

:ec: :metal:

IanGT99 01-21-2005 06:53 PM

^ lmfao lol

bryan1727 01-21-2005 11:04 PM

I can't wait for these games to start. Hopefully i'll be back at school to watch. The big snow storm might have an effect on that.

99GApunk 01-21-2005 11:44 PM

like 8 to 20 inches!!! wooo winter+football, the way it should be

02andahalfgt 01-22-2005 09:34 AM

Single digit temps for the Philly game, below zero wind chills, high winds and snow. :metal: All football games should be this way. lol

bryan1727 01-22-2005 04:06 PM

Pittsburgh has been practicing inside all week because their practice field wasn't plowed or something. Think this will have an effect on the game?

99GApunk 01-22-2005 04:22 PM

nope, pats practiced inside before the colts... its normal

bryan1727 01-22-2005 04:29 PM

did they? i know they were outside some of the days, they showed them on the news practicing outside before the colts.

bah, it's from when the Simpsons build a tennis court in their backyard, and end up playing with agassi, sampras, and the williams sisters? ya know, its supposed to "sike you out". oh god, NEVERMIND!! lol

moss was in my avatar because of the green bay game (that pic was from that game actually), i just left it in there because i thought it was cool. if seth hadn't of offered the avatars, i'd of left it as moss.
