where did the steelers come from? i dunno maybe a 15-1 season last year lol..also 11-5 is a pretty decent record...If anything you should say where are the bengals comming from, or even denver. Denver hasent been close to the show in like 5yrs and the bengals never have. Not sure where your going with that one, i think ur just a ****ed off colts fan lol...

or even BETTER yet, the seawaks. BTW you pretty much picked out the only team in the playoffs besides the colts and pats that should(by nfl history) be there. THe bengals, seahawks, denver(as of late) ect all are teams that have sucked pretty much forever.

Bill Cowher is having my babies!

I was looking back at the first page at the beginning of the season and this was the response to my post about whos gonna win eacvh division. Seems like i was 95% right, only thing i missed was i said the pats will beat the steelers again lol....not making fun of eric just pointing out...

eric99gt 02-04-2006 03:23 PM

doh....hey what can I say. Made a fool out of me. I still think it would have been different if it weren't for injuries. But hey we'll never know.

well it was that a bit i guess. McNabb wasnt playing his best all year. T.O thats a whole story on its own, i knew something would go wrong with him, the chemistry wasnt there for the eagles.
Redskins made a hell of a run to get in, 6games straight, they did very well.
Cowboys just bit the big one horribly and didnt click either. Just wait tho, football is changing, its already beginning. Bengals are good, redskins are good, seahawks are good, all the teams that have sucked over the last 10-15yrs are comming good now. Cardinals are gonan be a tam to watch out for, all we need is them browns to come around lol...Gonna be a fun superbowl tommorow

haha and they were after their playoff dissapointments before? give it up dude they suck in the playoffs and until they prove you otherwise just be ready for dissapointment.

you can still hope, but keep it quiet because indy has no bragging rights at all anymore

zeddsdead 02-04-2006 07:16 PM

besides the way I see it, your son dies and you go right back to work... you going to be able to perform your job right? The colts aren't in the superbowl because of a tragedy. Everyone's too hard on them.

Im sorry man im not trying to get on ur nuts or anything or make a big thing but ide have to say you dont know much about football. After the steelers comment im convinced. And the 96 broncos? why are you bringing that up? football was 100000% different back then. Qb's were just team leaders and the guys who threw the ball, they werent 1000yrd rushers, football was all about toughness then, its about finess now...completely diff game

Ajaxus 02-04-2006 09:18 PM

all i care about tomorrow is my thick top sirloin steak and my beer, either team could win for all i care (altho if the seahawks lose i can give my west coast buddies some crap)

Ajaxus 02-04-2006 09:59 PM

personally i think the colts deserved the bowl this year more than anyone, but im not exactly a fan of the nfl, im more into college ball now, so thats why my focus will be on food tomorrow.

thats a terrible excuse and im sure dungy would be the first to say so. they arent in the superbowl because the got outplayed, out hustled, outcoached and outeverythinged

Graxall 02-05-2006 12:36 AM

[/b]Yea i think he just found a NFL team thats good and banwagoned along. And if not then whatever but i dont think any team "deserves" anything per say. Im sure the Houstin Texans tryed their best and worked very hard to win, doesnt mean they deserve to win the superbowl. Ever for that matter. Lol. Anyway im no sports analyst but i think people whove posted here can vouch for me when i say i know my stuff. If you look back 41 pages to my first post you'll see that.
Now for the Pre-Game Pre-Game breakdown of the Steelers/Seahawks showdown as i see it:
Defense:
Steelers
Joey Porter(ROLB) - is a absolute psychopath and will dominate. I see him poppin Alexander really hard and talkin alot of sh!t after doing it. Hes a 2x pro-bowler, expect alot of action from him.
Troy Polamalu(SS) - If you saw the last game the steelers played and watched Polamalu in action you'll know hes gonna F someone up this game. First time pro-bowler, this year, the guy is a animal to say the least.
Of course Aaron Smith will play good and the steelers D line will be penetrating decently.
Seahawks
Michael Boulware(SS) - DOnt have to say much about this guy, his skills say it all. Best overall rookie season of any seahawks player ever(wich sint ALL that impressive but is still.) Hes got only 2 seasons under his belt and is doing very well and will tommorow
Lofa Tatupa(MLB) - is gonna have a pretty good game i predict. Hes a rookie, he starts, and is pumped and really energetic. He was the highest drafted pick of a linebacker in seahawks franchine history. Im gonna love to see what this guy can do with a few years under his belt.
With Andre Dyson being out of the lineup, look for Ben to exploit the 2ndary with Randel El and Ward.
Offense
Steelers
Willie Parker(RB) - Fast as sh!t can make huge plays in open feild, good athlete, good attitude, 2nd year starter. GOnna be amazing in a few years.
Jerome Bettis(RB) - Bettis will be the stellers goto guy on 3rd and short situations as well as redzone/goalline situations, look for the Bus to get a few TD's.
Big Ben(QB) - Big Ben has impressed me very much this year, hes played quite amazing, despite that fact that he really is a d!ck in real life. I met him breifly and the prick wouldnt give me an autograph, and this was right after he was drafted. Damn sob...(went to the NFL draft that year). ANyway hes gonna play well i hope.
Antwaan Randel El(WR) - 4.1-4.2 40. Enough said.
Hines Ward(WR) - Rediculiusly good flats receiver. 6ft 205, awsome size great hands quick feet. Has set numerous records for the steelers franchise. 2nd steeler is history to reach 5k receiving yards.
Seahawks
The seahawks dont have as many offensive weapons as the steelers but they click really well.
Shaun Alexander(RB) - Figured ide start with this fella since noone in the post really likes him. Won the rushing title(by 20 God damn yrds) and also holds the single season TD record. Hes started 80% of the games in his career. Rediculous outburst speed, great footwork, awsome cuts, great weaver, VERY good back all around. Look for about 150-200yrds out of him.
Matt Hasselbeck(QB) - All im gonna say is that i hope he doesnt F up enough that they have to bring Seneca Wallace in. lol. Matt is gonna be feeling the pressure and is gonna toss up two pics in this one.
Thats about it i cant really thing of anything else to say, its 2:30 am and im bored as hell so i posted this, hope you guys enjoy and comment away.!
of yea final prediction is gonna be Steelers 27 Seahawks 10

99GApunk 02-05-2006 11:25 AM

no we just want you to shut up about the colts, they lost 3 weeks ago, just like the lost the 2 years before that. they arent involved anymore so there is no reason to make excuses for them sucking big time in their only playoff game this year

and graxall you forgot juervicious or hoever you spell it, jackson, and max strong is a better than decent fullback/2nd RB

i feel everyone is giving pitts offense too much credit and seattles not enough. i would at least expect a closer scoring game than 27 to 10. the fact that alexander has been so good, and you have the pass threat there too should make for a well rounded game, and if seattle doesnt get down early they can control the pace of the game. which will lead to at the very least a close game

i would expect ben to be affected by pressure more than hasselbeck.

my predicition is whoever scores first wins

ehsan 02-05-2006 12:36 PM

no team with a fata$$ butterball running back is going to win a super bowl ... someone tell him to stop eating so much campbells chunky soup and hit the treadmill ... i would like to see someone poke him with a needle so i can put some gravy on my mash potatoes ..... GO COLTS WOOOOOOOOO

this is all true, i was just summing up key players more than anything..good point tho

99GApunk 02-05-2006 12:42 PM

some of pitts stars are better than seattle's but i think a lof of the game will come down to the special teams guys, and who's average talent guys are better than the others

The Bus is a great back because he's big. Do you know how many teams draft 1st day (not first round) RBs who're big like Bettis salavatating that they could be a brusing 3-5 yd back for short yardage situations?
Look at Tampa....Mike Alstott, Seattle....Max Strong, and the list can go on.
While I'm getting kind of sick of "The Bus is going home! Detroits his home city!", backs like the bus with the ability to move thier feet as quickly as he can are a rarity.

Graxall 02-05-2006 06:50 PM

27-10 is coming lol....almost there guys. Seattle is definately outplaying pitt but pitt is getting big plays and the calls are going their way. Good game so far though.

elim 02-05-2006 07:32 PM

I swear to God, these refs are doing the best they can in giving the Steelers the win.

Lets see:

1.) Roethlisburger's rushing TD that wasn't.
2.) The pushoff that wasn't to takeaway a Seattle TD.
3.) The holding that wasn't that cost the Seahawks a 1st down at the Steelers 1 and an eventual interception...terrible.
4.) The chopblock that wasn't against Hasselbeck on the said interception...terrible.
5.) The timeout that wasn't, when the playclock clearly went to 0 before any Steeler mentioned for a TO...and wouldn't you know the Steelers just get the first down with enough yardage (but a 5 yard penalty would've had them come up short...)

More to come, most likely...
