Angel Eye Wiring Idea

Ive searched, its not here. Check it.

Here's the idea, wire the main bulbs so that they come on with the headlights (auto sensor) and then the halo to the current foglight switch. But I need some wiring schematics to do this, can somebody find these for me or atleast tell me how to do this?

badboy2451 01-06-2006 05:58 PM

pointless if you wanna go for the halo look at nite, the fogs will shine way brighter

Ajaxus 01-06-2006 06:05 PM

well what we (its my bros car) want is for the fogs to come on at the same time the headlights do, not to shine brighter, is it possible to do this? im not exactly a wiring guru since i havent done electrical stuff like this before, but i thought that this sounded like a good idea.

badboy2451 01-06-2006 06:31 PM

i see what ur sayin, but it just doesn't make any sense to get a pair of angeleyes just to use the fog lights on em...

ill let teh wiring gurus tell you how to do this

ancona46 01-06-2006 06:41 PM

what you would probly want to do is wire the angel eye so it comes on with the headlights that way u can switch the fogs off so u can actually see the angel eyes

Ajaxus 01-06-2006 06:54 PM

hm, but driving with the halo is illegal..its all my bros idea (since its his car), im just putting it up here to get some input and develop it some more.

badboy2451 01-06-2006 07:48 PM

halo = legal

Ajaxus 01-06-2006 07:57 PM

really? i did not know that...guess you do learn something new every day. heh

this should work.. but i take no fault in your actions..

Driving with fog lights on isn't illegal so why would driving with the halo on be? It's just another light. That's not illegal around here.

GrandAmGT1996 01-06-2006 09:40 PM

I think it has to be a regular bulb, not green/blue/red/etc. I'm not sure though, it goes by state.

Ajaxus 01-06-2006 09:40 PM

eh, i just thought it was because i thought i read somewhere that they are "for offroad use only" so i figured it meant the halo was illegal, o well **** it, atleast i have a schematic to go on thanks to magyver.

magyver 01-06-2006 11:09 PM

actualy, driving w/ your fogs on w/ out fog is illegal... any color other an amber up front is illegal.. white is common and 99.9% of the time you dont get bothered for it.. so if there white or amber, all is good for the most part.. if they are blue or green or red, then your gonna get stopped.. they say "for off road use only" to cover there a$$.. dosent mean your gonna get a ticket, but laws vary from state to state.... non-factory HID's are illegal no matter the state.. cleared GT tails as well.. auto-dynasty chrome corners.. cant be legal.. its a game.. if you play close enough to the line, you'll win..

Halos are legal as long as they are white. Any color other than white on the front of the car, that isn't a turn signal, is illegal. I had blue Angel eyes, they were illegal. So, heres a neat wiring idea for ya, when the parkinglights or regular lights come on, the angel eyes come on too. Have the stock switch flip between angel eyes, or regular fogs. Its do-able, just a little complicated. Running the angel eye fogs of the stock switch isn't too complicated, just use the regular fog voltage to energize the fog light relay. You'll need a seperate switch for the angel eyes in that setup. If you need help with the wiring for the first idea, let me know I and I can work it out. I have it in my brain, I just don't wanna type it up if its not needed.

thats wrong. its amber.. you can have two headlights, and two fog lights.. only white lights that you can have.. no extra set of driving lights... if you have accessory lights, that can be considerd a "driving light" because of its color, white. amber is the ONLY color you can have.. and can have as much of it as you want.. think of semi's.. they go nuts w/ amber led's.. parking lights must be amber.. if there not, they can be mistaken as "driving lights" i've been pulled over 41 times (no lie, small town) and have the rules down my heart (wisconsin).

You could wire the halos to the fog light switch and the driving lights to the high beams through the relay. Add a switch so you can turn them off when you don't need them.

I have purple LED's in my halos and they are on all the time. I got pulled over for no front plate and the lights were never mentioned.

in that case, dont t-tap the blue(low beam) wire from the headlight, instead, t-tap off the green (high beam) and run that wire into your car and hook it up to a switch, from the other side of the toggle to the black wire on the relay... super easy

Makes sense, good correction.

that just messed up my whole plan...I was going to change out all my DRL's with white led's. I guess I'm just going to go with amber led's :banghead

um.. all your DRL's? your DRL's are you headlights.. the white ones... lol.. they dont make a dual filimant headlight led yet.. LOL.. i assume you meant parking lights..

but if you find bright enough led's that will just be a factory replacement for our headlights, let me know!
