Regarding this meet, i'm seeing that there really isn't much planned for April 2nd other than the drag strip. Considering we'll be driving straight past Chicago, is anyone willing to go to spend a day in Chi-Town on that sunday? I'm hoping that more than me and Alex would be interested in going because personally I don't know my way around the area but i've never been and I really want to see Chicago and spend the day there. Post up if you're even remotely interested!

Damnit, Id almost rather go to ChiTown than the track...

Let me think about it, I want to go to Opening day at Byron with the Scion, but cant pass up a day in the city either...

HiFiCarGuy 03-20-2006 10:23 PM

Yea, I'd kinda rather spend the Day in Chi-Town too. My Girl's gonna be with me and I know she'd love that. My tC's still gonna be too young to beat-up on the track...so I won't be able to participate in track day...If I still had the GA, it'd be a whole nother story. I wonder if we can get enough interest in a Sunday in the city?

Well we are already at 6 people (assuming Matt goes, not sure what time he leaves back for MN) thats a pretty good group. We could hit up ESPN zone or something, great food there.

HiFiCarGuy 03-20-2006 10:40 PM

That would be sweet. ESPN zone, and hopefully it would be a nice enough day to just walk around.

SilverEcstasy 03-20-2006 10:40 PM

Alright cool glad to see enough people agree so far. My gf will be with me too and we figured it'd suck to be all the way out there but not go visit an attraction like Chicago.

5-lO 03-20-2006 11:16 PM

Well I will still have to decide whether or not I want to go to the track, but if I dont go to the track, Im definately in for Chicago

Coming from the Busse woods area, you won't being going past Chicago. Busse is in the Schaumburg area which is west of Chicago and Bryon is much farther out west. Also nobody has let me know what the deal is with staging lanes. I would say at 6 cars it should be fine in the Test-N-Tune lanes. And just let anyone that is interested, I will be out there the following week if anyone wants to come hang with me at the track. I am sorry to say, I just can't make the 2nd though. =(

SilverEcstasy 03-21-2006 06:19 AM

Well, coming from Michigan, from what I understand, we'll be cruising just west of Chicago, no? If thats the case, I wouldn't mind on the way back home, swinging through Chicago for some food and whatnot. Can't imagine how we're going to get all those cars through there but i'm sure we'll find a way.

OK, gotta now. And there is plenty of places to get some really good food in Chicago. Just avoid eating downtown. Everything is way overpriced in that area. If you guys do go to the track, Byron has some pretty good burgers themselves. Hope I get to meet you Saturday. I am looking forward to hanging with everyone for the day.

Metallman56 03-21-2006 06:50 AM

you guys should eat at Ditka's! DA BEARS!

GTgoddess 03-21-2006 07:06 AM

haha, no way. You guys should go to D!ck's Last Resort. Never been there, but I have heard nothing but fun things about that place.

UNCTYPE-S 03-21-2006 08:30 AM

5-lO 03-21-2006 01:33 PM
