We're tired, ready for this long drive. I am completely sore all over, so no one make fun of me being sore, seriously. I may be acting very fragile, or may be wincing in pain from time to time. Just a pre-warning, its a bad first impression, I know, but I really messed up this time.

Wild Country 04-01-2006 01:03 AM

I have to work at 230. If I can, I'll try and swing by before work since its not too far off the expressway for me.

GTgoddess 04-01-2006 05:18 AM

6:20am. Let the day begin :) Gonna go wash her, get the wheels swapped, do the window, etc. No waxing for you guys today haha sorry :) no time.

Gonna be SO tired.

SilverEcstasy 04-01-2006 05:32 AM

7:32 a.m. Rise and shine!! We should be hittin the road in roughly 1 hour. Weather looks like this is as good as it'll get. Ah well, better than snow..Tuesday's Detroit forecast is 34 and snow. Ridiculous.

zelda4325 04-01-2006 05:40 AM

Ajaxus 04-02-2006 12:46 PM

wtf was the deal with the spoons?

btw, tell kyle next time he finds a shopping cart, he has to do more with it than leave it outside my hotel room, what a waste.

as for that storm, it feels good to be back before it hit in full force. now i just gotta de-wire the ps2 so i can play it inside :(

UNCTYPE-S 04-02-2006 12:52 PM

wait.....who the fock did I talk to last night from indianapolis with a 952 area code. I remember talking to most of the chi peeps, but someone texted me from that # and then I called it back. I forgot who I was talking to because I was too pumped for Benny and we were heading down there. lol

Ajaxus 04-02-2006 12:56 PM

indianapolis? i didnt know we had anyone from indy that came out, far as i know there were only two hoosiers, me and the other other jim.

UNCTYPE-S 04-02-2006 01:03 PM

who the fock did I talk to then? lol 952 area code ring a bell? I was talking to them about clubs and fake id's and you guys were sitting in the hotel or some crap. I forgot the dudes name. He said he was 20. I thought it was you AJ at first, but you're not from indianapolis unless you were playing a april fools joke on me.

Ajaxus 04-02-2006 01:27 PM

Lemme check the numbers in my phone....nope, don't know that number. I'm a 574.

Only april fools jokes yesterday was one my car played on me, friday night the right rear tire was a tad low, saturday morning it was almost on its rim. Took 2 hours to get it repaired, GODDAMNIT!

On a plus side, this happened Saturday no more than 5 miles from me before we left...
http://www.southbendtribune.com/apps...73240355569325

I saw maybe 20+ cops alone going down there, they represented 3 cities, the sheriff, and state cops. Also saw some hells angels going down there to help out.

Edit: video found here, havent watched it yet tho.

DumpsterDamon 04-02-2006 02:38 PM

****. i left the spoons in alex's trunk.

SilverEcstasy 04-02-2006 03:22 PM

Yeah we just realized that Kyle.

This weekend: Utter disappointment. That is all.

xxbackhillxx 04-02-2006 03:24 PM

^ what he said

SilverEcstasy 04-02-2006 03:34 PM

Other than a few random funny moments...

Weather: sucked
Tolls: sucked
Hotel: sucked
IL drivers: sucked
our accident: sucked
gas prices: sucked

Me and Alex spent the most time preparing for this meet, and ended up with the worst event happening to us. Basically we drove 5 hours to have dinner at Bennigan's, Fuddruckers, Denny's and step in Goose Sh*t.

Other than that, it was really nice to meet Jon (5-lo) and FastSteve.

GTgoddess 04-02-2006 04:02 PM

well, I don't know what I was expecting in the first place with this whole meet. I think if it wasn't so damn cold, it would have been different. The weather pretty much put me in a not so excited mood to go out there. Nice to meet some of you though none the less

XMBlackGT1 04-02-2006 04:07 PM

It was definately good to meet everyone! Too bad it was soooooo cold. Hopefully we can put something together this summer when its warm.

UNCTYPE-S 04-02-2006 05:06 PM

I feel some tears and depression in this thread all of a sudden. Only thing I see that didnt finish through is a plan B for the weather. Did you guys do a cruise? Did you guys go to streets? Did you guys go to cue can do? 18+ club....21-to drink with pool tables and dartboards. Bowling wasnt an option? I mean, what did you guys do? Sit in the hotel all night and drink? I heard people left early too. Boring or they had prior plans?

I'm not trying to bash the meet, I just didnt talk to anyone through the whole night, so I am just wondering what you guys did.

mfuller 04-02-2006 05:39 PM

Sorry I couldn't make it....my flight out of Montreal Friday night was delayed 3 hours (winds at O'Hare), so I was pretty beat.
And Abby wouldn't have liked the weather.

kse73 04-02-2006 05:39 PM

Boy, Sorry I missed it....

There was no communication, and no sense of leadership by anyone. We all just kinda kept to ourselves, and with the string of severe weather coming in, we decided it would be in our best interest to just head home.

UNCTYPE-S 04-02-2006 07:04 PM

Sorry to hear that. I guess the addition of me and Denise woulda kept you all in check. lol So you guys drove home and didnt stay at the hotel?

gayest meet ever. next meet takes place in MI away from these retarded states of IL and IN

EDIT: and everyone left at like ****ing 7 or 8 and there was nothing to do, stupid.

DR. Fab is my favorite person though, lol.

Jeremy 04-02-2006 07:28 PM

sorry the weekend was a bust. gotta wait a few more months when it's warmer and the weather is a little more predicitble. I've been to a few successful car picnics at Busse and nice weather is the key. Also, having a couple grills there and food makes it more fun than standing around.

Sorry we bailed early, Savannah was getting hungry and cold.

Saw you guys this afternoon driving on I94 between Milwaukee and Madison this afternoon- I was on the other side, or I'd have tried to catch up to ya. Glad you all got home safely.
