Yeah after thinking about it, since this isnt a club thing as it used to be for CGAC and we dont have a paypal account set up that we can put money in to ahead of time, its not worth it to order food. If you get hungry, go get some... or hell ... order some. Im sure there is a Jimmy Johns, or a Dominos near by!

lol lol I have no idea why that made me laugh so hard. lol

Ok........how about this. Everyone do what they want!? lol

If you guys wanna eat before you head to the meet? By all means, go for it.

If you guys wanna come to the meet, hang out, announce some of you are leaving to go eat, who wants to go, go.

I'm still going to bring some stuff, just because well, I get hungry every like 1/2hr so imma wanna munch on something.

UNCTYPE-S 03-20-2006 02:22 PM

This place is pretty much the heart of Schaumburg. Your favorite fast food place is within 10 minutes.

Metallman56 03-20-2006 02:24 PM

alright well that sounds good then. i have never been there so i have no clue, and i am sure most everyone else is in the same boat.

UNCTYPE-S 03-20-2006 02:27 PM

Just dont make it like our last meet where we started off with 15 cars in a line to get food, and then all of a sudden it separated into like 8 different groups and people were calling people asking wtf they are, driving all over schaumburg, because some were from MI, WI, and other places. If you get food, go with someone who knows the area. lol

GTgoddess 03-20-2006 03:09 PM

Cool. Settled.

Awesome :)

DrFabulous 03-20-2006 03:13 PM

I'm showing up.... if I want food, I'll go buy some. No big deal. I'll bring a little more than what I would eat, in case someone wants some of it.

Yea.... if I drive anywhere, I'm following Jon or Jim or someone... Never been to the Chicago area before.

UNCTYPE-S 03-20-2006 03:18 PM

Having a gps so your never lost around the meet: priceless.

Ajaxus 03-20-2006 09:20 PM

heh, i might be in that boat with ya metallman...i might not be getting lost either ;)

SilverEcstasy 03-20-2006 09:25 PM

Regarding this meet, i'm seeing that there really isn't much planned for April 2nd other than the drag strip. Considering we'll be driving straight past Chicago, is anyone willing to go to spend a day in Chi-Town on that sunday? I'm hoping that more than me and Alex would be interested in going because personally I don't know my way around the area but i've never been and I really want to see Chicago and spend the day there. Post up if you're even remotely interested!

Damnit, Id almost rather go to ChiTown than the track...

Let me think about it, I want to go to Opening day at Byron with the Scion, but cant pass up a day in the city either...

HiFiCarGuy 03-20-2006 10:23 PM

Yea, I'd kinda rather spend the Day in Chi-Town too. My Girl's gonna be with me and I know she'd love that. My tC's still gonna be too young to beat-up on the track...so I won't be able to participate in track day...If I still had the GA, it'd be a whole nother story. I wonder if we can get enough interest in a Sunday in the city?

5-lO 03-20-2006 10:33 PM

Well we are already at 6 people (assuming Matt goes, not sure what time he leaves back for MN) thats a pretty good group. We could hit up ESPN zone or something, great food there.

HiFiCarGuy 03-20-2006 10:40 PM

That would be sweet. ESPN zone, and hopefully it would be a nice enough day to just walk around.

SilverEcstasy 03-20-2006 10:40 PM

Alright cool glad to see enough people agree so far. My gf will be with me too and we figured it'd suck to be all the way out there but not go visit an attraction like Chicago.

5-lO 03-20-2006 11:16 PM

Well I will still have to decide whether or not I want to go to the track, but if I dont go to the track, Im definately in for Chicago

Coming from the Busse woods area, you won't being going past Chicago. Busse is in the Schaumburg area which is west of Chicago and Bryon is much farther out west. Also nobody has let me know what the deal is with staging lanes. I would say at 6 cars it should be fine in the Test-N-Tune lanes. And just let anyone that is interested, I will be out there the following week if anyone wants to come hang with me at the track. I am sorry to say, I just can't make the 2nd though. =(

SilverEcstasy 03-21-2006 06:19 AM

Well, coming from Michigan, from what I understand, we'll be cruising just west of Chicago, no? If thats the case, I wouldn't mind on the way back home, swinging through Chicago for some food and whatnot. Can't imagine how we're going to get all those cars through there but i'm sure we'll find a way.

OK, gotta now. And there is plenty of places to get some really good food in Chicago. Just avoid eating downtown. Everything is way overpriced in that area. If you guys do go to the track, Byron has some pretty good burgers themselves. Hope I get to meet you Saturday. I am looking forward to hanging with everyone for the day.

Metallman56 03-21-2006 06:50 AM

you guys should eat at Ditka's! DA BEARS!

GTgoddess 03-21-2006 07:06 AM

haha, no way. You guys should go to D!ck's Last Resort. Never been there, but I have heard nothing but fun things about that place.

UNCTYPE-S 03-21-2006 08:30 AM

Ya you guys should check out Crobar on Sunday. You will love it!!

5-lO 03-21-2006 01:33 PM

If Crobar is a bar, which im guessing it is then FU... I hate being a minor

dsk727 03-21-2006 01:35 PM

even if you are legal not sure you want to go on sunday nights lol hahahaha

UNCTYPE-S 03-21-2006 01:58 PM

lmao......shhhhh denise. it will be a fun experience for the kiddies. so i hear.

ViperGTSR 03-21-2006 02:12 PM
