this thread gives me a headache, but the car looks very good!
Ashlee would approve, I'm sure. |
No rim will look good on that car unless you lower it. I say lower it first, and see what it looks like.
Car looks good, Darren. P.S. Silver reflector overlays, stat. Or get the clear headlights off of ebay or something. |
I hate to say it, but you need to paint your calipers orange now. Say good-bye to yellow. :(

Was the overlap in silver where the hood meets the bumper intentional? Or is it just the angle that makes it look like that? |
So I actually start a new job tomorrow (honestly who works a first day on a Friday??) ...spoiler, badge, clean, etc. etc. wont happen till Saturday. Anyways here are pics from today...mostly done.
http://www.sikmindz.com/ga/PaintPreview/100_0413res.JPG Full pics here: www.cardomain.com/id/sikmindz BadBlack - The overlap on the hood was done intentionally to keep the flow of silver going. It's a pretty abrupt stop where the CF on the hood is so wanted to somehow connect it to the front bumper somehow while maximizing the amount of exposed CF. elim - I'm undecided on headlights right now...I have silver overlays but it wont quite look right with the lines down the side. And the AD ones...well, the bright clear/white reflector is going to look horrendous against all three colors. I may just paint the bottom of the headlights black to match the CF. Panacea - working on it. I'm gonna try and snag some high temp/caliper paint tomorrow and get'em done this weekend. Dave - make me an offer. They're just sitting in storage right now. No tires and they're all cleaned up and ready to go. Check my post in the FS section. Everyone else...find me black rims with a deep chrome lip. Thanks. |
You must go w/ the clear/black headlights... maybe mould in some projectors/HIDs?
|
You know sik, despite the fact that you're a raging homosexual, I must say that I'm impressed with the way the car turned out. You get a 10 for originality.
But you're still a biatch. ;) |
And despite the fact that you TOO are a flaming ass bandit you sure didn't jump on your chance to come see me a few blocks away. LoL
It's alrite. New job is in Emeryville. I'll holla sometime..and I still have another day or so to polish the bitch some upcoming weekend in Berkeley. |

Looks amazing. The overlap in silver does make it flow nicely now that I see full car pics.
and for your rims go with these - Axis Seven Mod's ... 19's FTW |
Yeah, I was def thinking another 0.5-1.0 drop and 19" rims.
If you want to go all-out and make it look good, I suggest looking into some HRE's... |
What in the hell are you talking about?
|
See, in order for cars to work they have these round metal objects called wheels. Then, a round rubber substance is put around those to further facilitate moving from point A to B. That is essentially how cars function.
In the past young folk have found it to be a personal artistic outlet to put all sorts of new-fangled looking "wheels" on their cars. It is a version of "personalization" similar to a particular outfit you may wear, or how you may style your hair. Realizing this over the years, various manufacturing companies have seen this need for personalization so they have developed very specific processes for making these round metal substances in different shapes, colors and sizes. When I made my previous statement I should have been more thurough, so my appologies. Let me break it down for you: -"0.5-1.0" drop": that would be referring to your current suspension parts and settings -"19 inch rims": like I said^ this is one possible size option for the round metal masses that you bolt to your car... on second thought maybe 18" would be more simple to go with. -"HRE": HRE 3-piece wheels look, fit and perform better than any other for good reason. HRE's design, engineering and manufacturing experts work in concert to create wheels that are as technically precise as they are beautiful. Each set custom-tailored for the world's finest vehicles. It's what sets HRE wheels apart. Unequaled commitment. Unequaled results. http://www.hrewheels.com/home/ So that's what I was talking about. |
lol nice explanation
