My schedule for work is changing next week. So I'll be there Friday and Saturday for certain. Sunday is iffy.

Ajaxus 05-29-2008 01:25 PM

A few weeks out..

Gonna have the kegerator fixed by next week for the bp tourney.

Also will be taking donations on friday for the cookout as well as for the keg. We have options on the keg, we can either get some piss water or I can get one of the lighter beers from the microbrewery I work at.

I vote for a mainstream beer, I havent found a beer I really liked at the microbrewery yet. But if it comes down to it I can just buy a case if more people woud like to try out the stuff you can get. Are you working at that place on main?

After three beers, its not going to matter what it is. If its ice cold, I'll drink it. Get whatever you want, and charge $5 to play BP and drink.

Hey AJ,

What type of place, have you got us going to ?

The nearest Costco is 98.5 km / 61.2 miles away; according to Nokia Maps.
in Merrillville, IN

:p lol

lone_wolf025 05-29-2008 09:21 PM

lol That doesn't seem THAT odd ^^

I'm kind of used to having one near by; like 1.8km / 1.1 miles away lol
(That is the distance for my local one.)

Was thinking of it for cheap beer runs.

Mike Jung 05-29-2008 09:40 PM

Well, if anyone has a Sam's Club membership:

There is one 0.955 km / 0.6 miles from the motel.

120 Indian Ridge Blvd.
Mishawake, IN 46545

;)

& Wal-Mart Supercenter is 0.840 km / 0.52 miles away.
316 Indian Ridge Blvd.

Ajaxus 05-30-2008 12:53 AM

Yes, we have sam's club nearby, and since seth can't make it..we also have a meijer's nearby, lol

I'll have my motorola radio as usual, goin Channel 1 on it to stay simple..I have an 18 mile range, so you can raise me on it anytime.

Tonyyank 06-02-2008 01:41 PM

SikMindz 06-02-2008 02:15 PM

Time to go to the MW.

Ajaxus 06-02-2008 10:02 PM

Go for it..lol

People get lost, so I put that out there for them..sh!t gets too out of control I change my number and ya'll are on your own finding sh!t when you get into town.

Mike Jung 06-04-2008 05:46 PM

Is there any "must try" foods/cuisine/restaurants in the area of Mishawaka or South Bend, IN area that a visitor (that is on a budget) should try ?
Anything regionally unique to the area ?

PS: Maybe I should try: Ruth's Chris Steak House; since it is cheaper there, than back in Toronto lol
902 E. University Drive
Granger (Mishawake), IN 46530

Grandamgtblk99 06-04-2008 07:07 PM

I never thought Ruth Chris and Cheap would be in the same sentence.

Tonyyank 06-04-2008 07:14 PM

An hour on I-80.....not bad at all to get to your spot...Is "most" everything close to your spot ??

OneFstGt 06-04-2008 07:40 PM

So this meet is still on?

Tonyyank 06-04-2008 07:46 PM

Yes read the first post in the thread for all the info

OneFstGt 06-04-2008 07:47 PM

Sweet!

lone_wolf025 06-04-2008 08:10 PM

Never did get around to reserving a room. I'm tempted to be cheap and try to share a room, but I might break down and actually pay for my own. Dunno yet...

Tonyyank 06-04-2008 08:13 PM

Im bringing my sleeping bag and drinking money :D

Not a bad idea actually ^^

Ajaxus 06-05-2008 12:31 AM

Mike, the two places we are eating on Saturday are on the "must try" list. One place I can swing you by on Sunday if you want is the South Bend Chocolate Factory in the downtown area, they recently remodeled it and the chocolate and drinks are damn good.

As for Ruth's Chris, it's still a fairly pricey place, and IMO it's over-hyped.

The Oyster Bar is pretty decent and might be worth trying, we can hit that if we do any bar hopping as it's right downtown.

And TY, we're about a 10 minute drive from downtown South Bend and 5-10 minute drive from the big shopping/restaurant area of Mishawaka..so pretty damn close to everything at my apartment. And the Super 8 will be only a few minutes drive from that good part of Mishawaka as well..further from downtown South Bend tho.

silvergtjrad 06-09-2008 08:47 PM

Just booked a hotel finally. Im staying at the extended stay america on main st. It looks to be about a mile from the super 8. $69/ night from orbitz. It had much better reviews than the super 8. If anyone is still looking for a room at the super 8, if you use priceline.com its $55/night

Where ?

When I go there, & it shows me rate of $64.99 US per night.

My reservation directly through the Super 8 website with a CAA/AAA discount was better.

Thanks, Jared :)

http://www.super8.com has revised their "Best Rate" prices to $54.99 US per night.

& a CAA/AAA rate of $49.49 US per night.

So I called their 1-800-800-8000 toll free line.
To revise my reservation.
Guy with an accent answered & said they would revise my prices on the reservation.
I asked for a new email confirmation.
& I get a confirmation of the original price :duh:

I got to call them again during business hours; as now I call, & they can't see my reservation details ?
Maybe it is updating it ?

PS: Thanks again Jared.

silly canuck. do things the american way:
1. talk real loud and angry
2. be adamant about the fact that you authorized nothing
3. blame them for everything
4. demand a monetary kickback for your hardship
5. use the money you saved on your free hotel, buy a bunch of hookers and blow
6. thank me later for the best vacation evAr!

Ajaxus 06-10-2008 01:59 AM

and uh, you won't need the kitchen..unless you eat breakfast..

Tonyyank 06-11-2008 02:10 PM

And as for softball..I think I'm gonna switch it to wiffle ball, no gloves needed, anyone can play..and you can still beat the **** out of that ball if you want, lol

silvergtjrad 06-12-2008 04:16 PM

I can bring a softball and bat if you would like AJ. Wiffle ball works though. You can hit a line drive into the pitchers face without them being too pissed

Vegeta 06-12-2008 04:18 PM

how do you pitch a wiffle ball?!
