The G6 does need an update, I haven't heard much lately, but last I heard the next generation is in the air. The next model was supposed to get bigger, but now the market has changed and GM was rethinking that decision. If we go by an industry standard 5 year lifecycle, the car should be all new for 2010. The last Malibu was only around for 4 years and it got a total redesign. I bet we don't see anything change on the G6 until 2012.

They were never satisfied with the '04 malibu. I didn't like the n-body based Malibu, thought it was too boring looking. Then it went from boring to straight ugly with the epsilon switch. Over the course of the 4 years they had the first Epsilon malibu, I noticed subtle changes to make it look nicer. For example the removal of the crome bar on the front. The new Malibu is probably the best looking malibu ever...and thats including the 70's ones because they were ugly as hell too!

Actually, as far as exterior body fit and finish (like panel gaps), Daewoo is better than you'd think. Better than many others.
