I'd have to agree. Looks too blank or incomplete. Maybe just the pontiac lettering removed, that way it looks balanced with the arrowhead in the center and G8 on the right and GT on the left side. Either way, nice car. I really like the G8s.

It's a 97 F250LD (not learning disability, light duty). They were called F150 7700 starting in 99 iirc.
Basically, it's got an oil and tranny cooler, add a leaf in the rear, the bigger 3.73 (once again IIRC) slip lock whatever rear, the 7 lug rims (why not 8 I'll never know) and the bigger frame, with the lighter duty F150 atop it.
It was when they started to merge the truck and car, the older stuff was far more utilitarian. The thing is really comfortable to drive around in, rides pretty great for a truck, I'll give it that lol

I might have forgot something else it had, but it's the 3/4 ton version of a 1/2 truck I guess.

This is exactly what I did with mine. Got rid of the Pontiac lettering but kept the GXP and G8 badges. Looks much nicer.

As for the Holden badges, I've seen a few "Holden" G8's on some of the G8 forums but I really don't think the round badges flow well with the shape of the Pontiac grills. Unless you do the entire body swap, I would recommend against the Holden badges. Plus, since Pontiac is becoming a rarity now, I like to wear the dart proudly as I blow past most Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and Chargers...
