Poor car rarely gets driven

Well day number 2 car wouldnt start. Windchill for tomorrow is -40. So im jumping it and in 2 days if the problems still happen ill need to buy a new battery. Its so friggin cold up in duluth right now

I'm ready for winter driving though. Tall snow tires, 4x4 style. lol They give me an extra 5/8" ground clearance, and they really fill out the wheel well. Just barely clears everything. 215/55-17 Goodyear ultra grip ice wrt's.

Got myself one of those water shedding filter covers for my K&N filter on the CAI too. I've never had a problem with it even in heavy rain, but I figured it can't hurt with all the road spray and slush I'll be driving through for the next 4 months. Plus it's supposed to keep the filter clean longer and mine sits right behind the bumper opening, so it's just extra insurance.

You can find aftermarket versions too, although most of them are cheap and ineffective. They mostly just go on the outside of the oil pan which doesn't get much heat into the fluid. Some install in the radiator hoses. To really be effective they need to be installed so they heat up the oil in the oil pan or the coolant in the block.

Aaron, make sure to keep an eye on those brake rotors over the winter.
Road salt can cause some nasty corrosion to build up between the iron rotor and the aluminum hat.

Was going to install one but ran out of time/money. And the plugins on the outside of the townhouse get plowed by retards and people walk around drunk and someone would rip it out of the wall. Plus all the parking spots in front of my place are always full so i have to go to visitor parking. Should i go to sears or autozone for a battery? Any suggestions on brands that will perfom best in frigid cold?

I've never driven it through a full winter before with these brakes on, so didn't have any idea how they would handle it. I plan on doing a weekly rinse off at the local car wash. I'll remember to pay special attention to flushing out the wheels and brake discs.

Damn it's cold! Lucky for me my car starts no matter how cold it is. I can't figure it out. :iconfused I do have a brand new starter though.

Dirty as Fck! The calipers will be red in the spring. Hopefully with black wheels!

Interstate batteries are fine, diehard batteries are fine. Many brands are fine, I personally use a DieHard Platinum series battery for my car because it works just fine with my system.

Mine starts okay, just turns over really slow. Does the block heater fix that or what?

Aaron better stop posting pics w/out that SC/T hood, car looks so much more slick without it. He's going to get griped at when he puts it back if we all get used to seeing it slicked out lol
