F-Body brakes on the GA.
http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...psb54d79ec.jpg
went with cheep rotors after all that debate i had.
http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6590a820.jpg
they might be the cheap brand, but they're so much larger and thicker, i don't thick they'll have a problem.

remanufactured raybestos calipers. PITA. had a rounded off bolt on one. and the clips were rubbing the rotors. i trimmed and modified the clips to work.
http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1f144b40.jpg
then i had to trim the plastic covers on the wheels. the calipers rubbed the spokes.

Nice job :D looks great although I'm surprised, you didn't want to paint the calipers?

TDavis 12-17-2013 07:35 PM

If I lived near you I would. That bothers me more then anything seeing as literally 98.9% of the GAs I see out there have SOMETHING out in the rear. Never full functioning bulbs. It's not that hard to change them, looks stupid too.

But I've said that before about certain bulbs being out. I rant to myself everytime I see it.

None of the lights are out on my GA... I know what you mean though, it drives me crazy too

TDavis 12-17-2013 07:45 PM

IF they're all working its always a GT, rare. But no SE's have them all working. Only 1 or 2 GTs.

Thank You! I couldn't decide what color to paint them. i even thought about polishing them and painting them chrome to match the wheels. BUT that was too much work so i went for the sleeper look.

advance auto wanted 40 for their cheapy rotor.

Hey dont feel bad I used r1concepts cheap, cheap set, the E-line slotted drilled set they have been on the car since early 09 I have not had to change anything since I put them on, even the pads are still in good shape.

http://www.r1concepts.com/p-168418-c...ed-rotors.aspx

I paid less then $100 for both fronts.

Just checked my invoice from june 09 it was $105.

Also chaos what did the sticker on the back of your GA say? I've seen it a couple times now and cant really readt it.

sleepyalero 12-18-2013 08:14 PM

I think it was a remembrance sticker for his friend who had passed away.

Yup. He was run off the road by a spiteful off duty sheriff, his Scion xA slid into the grassy median, flipped onto its roof into the oncoming lanes of the highway where a speeding Honda Ridgeline blasted the Scion. He was ejected from the sunroof...his spine fractured and broke all his ribs, he died from cardiac arrest due to blood loss. He was 19. =[

sleepyalero 12-18-2013 08:40 PM

So sad. Happy I remembered though. Sorry about your friend buddy! :(

[ChaosweaveR] 12-18-2013 08:44 PM

It's okay. The lime green ribbon I keep around my Accord's mirror always reminds me of him. That will be in every car I own.

Pontiac_guy99 12-18-2013 09:00 PM

That's too bad. Sorry for your friend.

Still my favorite tails.

gtsouth 12-19-2013 01:20 AM

Well, two weeks ago I put in a new starter. This weekend while visiting my daughter my alternator took a ****. Oh well. 200,000 miles on her now. It's all good.

Kayaus 12-19-2013 08:36 AM

Damn those tails look amazing, how did you clear the red though? Or are they:
