I hand wash my tires.
i've been spraying mine with simple green degreaser. i have a separate tire brush and wheel brush.
i'll save Tanner from making a post. he only uses Ammo "plum" wheel cleaner. didn't even wipe the tire. just spray simple green and rinse. used 000 fine steel wool and simple green to rub the inside of the wheel http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...psfa540f68.jpg every 15 years or 108k miles, it deserves a little TLC lol http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7626b223.jpg and from saturday night, my first strip trip ever. beat the r/t charger by a lot. he did a burnout, i didn't. notice my red underglow lol oh and my brakes too, obviously http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...psa0b8d111.jpg last pic. florida g8 club was at the strip. at least 10 maybe more. and that's mr. superiority complex's vette in the right of the pic too. http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/...psa2ac4edc.jpg |

Thank You! hey are those chrometechs? this is your winter setup? still running spacers? um did i tell you guys when i did the f-body brakes i had to grind the plastic cover of my chrometechs a bit. the spokes rubbed the calipers. not a prob, just hadn't heard anybody else mention it when i researched.
Metalman has the F-body brakes with his chrometechs and didn't have to shave anything, No set of wheels are created equal I guess.
Yeah I put my stocks on for the winter, my spacers stay on year round. So IF my wheels would of rubbed I dodged that. |
I need my new wheels on. :(
so do it. not that cold there
me too... :(
I've got other things to do before I can. Like swap tires. And some other odds and ends before they go on.

I've heard about them rubbing. It depends on which style of the OEM chrome wheels you have though, and I believe on which caliper you use as well. IE the F-body calipers don't rub, but the 'vette calipers do because of the raised letters or ribs on them or something like that. It's been a while but I know I read something about that on here before.
I think I read that 99-00 dont rub, 01-02 its hit or miss, and 03-05 trimming is required.
And like Aaron said vette have raised parts and may rub on any of them. |
All your posts are irrelevant. Mac has F-body calipers an a '99 but he rubs. Metal had F-body calipers and a '01 and he didn't rub.
I personally don't think that I would rub but never know, I'm not taking my spacers off :D |
Off topic who is getting smashed tonight?? Lol i work but off around 11
I'm not sure if I'm getting smashed or not. Spent a lot of money at the strip club the past few nights. I was offered to go to hotel suite with a girl and a few other for a hot tub new years party. I'm pretty intrigued.
My Camaro Calipers never rubbed on my stock rims, but then again they were not chrome they were just alloy color.
