20% is perfect. Even though I like to be unique with little details on my car, I try to exclude tint out of that equation. Because everyone and their mother gets 20% all around. But 20% is perfect. Dark enough during the day, but not too dark(atleast to my 21 year old eyes) at night. Worse comes to worse just roll your window down to back up lol

I had 35% up front on my cavalier and it wasn't bad but I wanted darker eventually.

You want to be hidden, then they see the figure of a horse head and then you slowly roll the window down, keep staring forward then snap at them with a horse noise.

I have 40% tint put on which is perfect for me. Just told the doc that the sun reflection gives me migraines and i got an rx. Just nice to have because cops pull you over for the dumbest **** in minnesota. However, ive never been hassled by cops because it's not like i have limo tint.

If I got a doctors note.... id go as dark as possible. Double up on 5%. Lol

Btw anything above 30% I consider a waist of money. 30-50% is like you didnt do anything to the window. Its like paying a tint guy to throw on a clear piece of tape on each window. If you are going to pay 160+ for a tint job. You might as well get something more useful and noticable.

If you watch the video he posted. The spoiler is hella sun faded. :(

I love the 40%. Its really nice, next time id go darker for sure. But i saw the 40% sample and liked it. I understand that dark tint can look really nice, but on my grand am i like the 40. At night delivering pizzas i still sometimes have to open the window in the winter to see house numbers in rural areas. To each their own, i like it. But i would never slap limo tint on a car, ever. Its really funny hearing their response when you ask for a rx for window tint "have you tried 50% legal tint?" Yeah it doesnt do the job.

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-08-2014 11:25 PM

What did everyone pay for tint? I remember this talk came up earlier. I paid 140 for all around.

TruGreenGAGT 04-08-2014 11:25 PM

so you go 40% yeah that makes zero sense... I'd go 20% or lower all around if I need a rx...with maybe 50% on the windshield

20% all around is perfect. I don't care if it's legal or not. That's want I have on my car.

I didnt want to go much darker. I love the look of my grand am with 40. Its 40 or 35% i forget. I deliver pizzas so 20% would be a bitch at night. Off topic; You'd be suprised the amount of people that paint their house and forget to put the house numbers back on. Its annoying as hell.

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-08-2014 11:31 PM

Keep in mind my job has me driving at night. Then again you two live in texas and cali. I live in minnesota. If i lived down there it would be tinted to 20% for sure

TruGreenGAGT 04-08-2014 11:38 PM

mines 5% on the back windows and 20% on the doors thats perfect to me

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-08-2014 11:42 PM

If it was sunny everyday here that would be a nice set up. Dont need that if it snows from november-april. Jim come live in minnesota in the winter... Its awesome... Lol i love the snow but damn does it get cold.

TruGreenGAGT 04-08-2014 11:44 PM

i spent first 18 years of my life in Northern Illinois.... was just in Chicago this past Dec.

I know what winter is like.

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-08-2014 11:46 PM

Question, at what point in cali do you see people wearing coats? My sister lives there and says sometimes people even turn on the heat.

TruGreenGAGT 04-08-2014 11:50 PM

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-08-2014 11:54 PM

TruGreenGAGT 04-08-2014 11:59 PM

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-09-2014 12:02 AM
