So tax dollars go to that terrible camera? Huh

[ChaosweaveR] 03-11-2014 08:10 PM

So cops walk around snagging pictures of "violations" now?

Sure, let's worry about mediocre violations that aren't causing harm upon others. Police logic.

99ga 03-11-2014 08:12 PM

"FRONT LICENSE PLATE REQUIRED", sir

Just like installing speed cameras for "safety matters"

[ChaosweaveR] 03-12-2014 09:45 AM

That crap is headed to New England. Hopefully it doesn't hit LI too bad.

I'm so done with winter.

99ga 03-12-2014 09:52 AM

it was so windy during the snow storm that traffic lights are covered in snow and makes it difficult to see wether is green or red.

sleepyalero 03-12-2014 10:11 AM

Buncha babies when it comes to some snow. Man up!

TDavis 03-12-2014 10:20 AM

^Say that to yourself when you would have to actually drive your Alero in the snow.

you dumb shit i also have a daily driver. mines cold blooded like a motherfucker so NOPE. i'm not technically storing mine i just don't give a damn and i have another car that is a zillion times better in the snow than the GA. plus i'm not sure if i want mine anymore.. once the snow melts and i can get it out of the garage and i have enough room to park it down the bottom of my driveway maybe i'll drive it to work occasionally.

you "store" yours year round because you are afraid to get it wet. mine sits over the winter because the tires suck in the snow and because of the cam it's wicked cold blooded..

sleepyalero 03-12-2014 02:34 PM

You baby! Mfuller and jims is garaged year around too! Now I cant speak for jim on if his sees rain. But im pretty sure matts doesnt see snow/rain either!

That's.......:hay:

SD requires one too, I've been pulled over final 500 bravada at least 1/2 dozen times for no front plate in the last 4 years. "Oh sorry officer it just got out of the body shop and I haven't put it on yet" Oh ok "here's a warning, you should get that fixed" "yeah sure thing, occifer! :leg"

gtsouth 03-12-2014 05:23 PM

That doesn't work when it is parked and you are not there. I've gotten busted on it before here in MN.

99Alero_Boy 03-12-2014 05:32 PM

Your cops need something better to do. Also if its in a private driveway they can't do anything about it.

xUnderCoverHoBo 03-12-2014 05:42 PM

I hate having 2 plates in mn.

sleepyalero 03-12-2014 06:10 PM

Actually they can. Here they can site you for not having a plate on the car thats been sitting for months in your driveway.

I never got pulled over for that, i got it while it was parked, for 10 mins without the front plate

Wow! That is BS!!! I got pulled over a few years ago with a warning. The car I was driving wasn't even designed to have a plate on the front. Instead of drilling holes I used small bungy cords. Then in Minneapolis I saw a "parking cop" actually writing tickets on parked cars with out front plates. I quickly put mine on before he got to me.

tipnitty 03-12-2014 06:43 PM

Missouri required 2 plates, but I haven't had a plate in years and they never hassled me. Now that I'm in OK, they only give you one plate :)

TDavis 03-12-2014 06:51 PM

Missouri as of August 28th, 2013 requires only one plate.

tipnitty 03-12-2014 06:56 PM

Nice. If you had a bracket showing, they would give you a ticket. But if you removed the bracket or had a plate filler, they left you alone. That was awesome lol

What? You got 8 inches down in Lakeville? We didn't get a flake here.
